Could not tell the bottled on date, but I believe it was from February. Poured into a Pipeworks NvU snifter. Orange gold in color, super cloudy. Second pour had a lot of particulates. Okay carbonation, good lacing and edges. A slightly sweet hop smell. Very citrusy, lemony taste followed by a bitterness in the back of the mouth. Pretty well-balanced, not as over powering as I expected.

Arctic Panzer is the most apricot-y of apricot-y oranges I have ever seen. It absolutely glows when backlit. A touch of haze runs throughout the body and up top sits a handsome crown. The foam is pure white and rises easily to a finger in height. The lacing creeps toward 100% coverage as the foam recedes A damn fine looking beer is Arctic Panzer Wolf.

This beer was stinking up the room the second the top was popped. Apricot is the first thing to mind and peach rings are the second, and blueberries are third. Flintstones vitamins add some sweetness while some unidentified tropicals and (gasp) model airplane glue make an appearance. Pine creeps up on the rear along with a candy like citric quality. That airplane glue and artificial Flintstone Vitamin quality I mentioned sounds bad, right? It's crazy delicious smelling actually.

The flavor profile showcases all the same aspects but in a slightly different order. The tropiclas are more upfront than the nose while the apricot steps up mid palate. Blueberry and pine are apparent from the middle to the finish. The pine grows on the finish with each successive sip.WHile there is a drizzle of caramel the malt profile is on the sugar cookie side of the spectrum. There's only a touch of the vitamin quality in the flavor department. This is a great beer.

The mouthfeel is as it should be. The body weighs in around the middle of the spectrum with no hint of viscous stickiness. The carbonation is perfectly dialed in, soft to the point of velvety while managing to keep the beer moving. The bitterness hits upfront but only grows a touch over moderate throughout the drink. This beer drinks like it's a 6%er. I see bad decisions in my future.

Arctic Panzer Wolf has been a favorite of mine since it was first released years ago. I used to roll by Miller's on Wabash just to get $6 pints when it was around back in the day. It's big, bold, unique, and most importantly, delicious. What should be a sipper drinks like something to be drank. If you haven't had this, go buy it.

Pours gold with an orangish tinge. Large cream colored head is quite thick and lasts a good while. Medium amount of fine, sticky lacing.

Aroma is big citrus hops and mild pine. Grapefruit and orange rind. Grainy caramel malt.

Big bold hop assault on the tongue. Strong bitter grapefruit. Pine, orange, and lemon zest. Pepper bite and maybe some licorice(?). Pretty strong malt backbone to counteract the hops. Cracker-y and raw grains.

Fairly thick mouth feel for the style. Medium carbonation. Strong lingering bitterness. Oily, coats the tongue.

Big, bold DIPA with huge grapefruit notes. Probably overly bitter for my tastes.

For the style I guess this would be alright, but this stuff does not even taste like beer. It is more of a strong, bitter wine. For people into Imperials, would guess this would be descent.

A-hazy yellow orange color with two fingers worth of white head that sticks to the glass and leaves a bit of lace around the top

S-tropical fruits, citrus, some light pine, and malt

T-similar to the smell with citrus and tropical fruits, pine, and citrus zest

M-medium body and crisp carbonation

Overall a big DIPA, lots of citrus and pine, very enjoyable

L (4) - Nice copper colored beer. A bit hazier than it should be, but a good amount of cream colored foam.
S (4.5) - Smells great! I've never one to get much citrus smells from beers, but I got some of that here.
T (4.75) - Fantastic! Big maltiness with big hop to balance. I get a small honey aftertaste which works oh-so-well.
F (4.25) - Easy to drink. Seems to be carbed about right. Not much alcohol burn or anything.
O (4.5) - Overall I loved this beer! Exactly what I look for in a IIPA. It's not just an IPA with more hops. I wish I could get this locally

A: Cloudy golden orange.
S: Grape fruit, grain.
T: Appealing fruit flavor on the front end. Bitter bite that stands in front of the mild citrus flavor.
M: On the light side and carbonated, but dry on the back end.
O: Again the signature FFF citrus flavors are present, but with less synergy than other top shelf offerings. The after taste department in particular left something to be desired.

Having this fresh on draft at the brewpub was a different experience than the first time I had it, at which point I did not like it at all. Either way, it's still a very aggressive IPA despite the not quite 'triple' status of the ABV.

Orange hue with a creamy head and smoothly fluid lacing.

Powerful hoppy aromas of fresh orange zest are featured prominently.

Some nutty, maple and caramel like malts come in to support the heavily bitter orange rind that comes over from the aroma. It's nice at least that there is that linear flavor profile from those hops coming over from the nose.

Boozy heat rises up through the nose, which in addition to the overwhelming bitterness, can become absolutely devastating to the palate after only a few minutes.
