Dirty gold color, hazy, unfiltered. Nice foam, off white, mostly very fine.

One of the best smelling beers I've ever had. Sweet apricot skins. Just lovely. Freakin' great. Makes the nice smell on DFH90 seem like semi-pro baseball.

Taste is good, maybe very good. Not great. Some malty sweetness, some apricots. I think it's the carbonation that throws it off.

Too much carbonation for this beer to be great. Not offensive. Just not optimal.

Finish is fine, a little bitterness, not super long or complex.

L: dark copper color that's mostly transparent. Head was about 1/2" on pour and dissipated after 30 seconds to a small amount of whisps on top. Lacing holds on nicely throughout the sips.

S: sweet malt, citrus, hops, musk, floral notes.

T: perfumery, slightly soapy, mildly sweet, orange and grapefruit, and an underlying hop presence.

F: medium feel.

Pours an opaque but not hazy, deep gold, producing 2 fingers of offwhite, frothy, somewhat lasting head that leaves patches & streaks of lacing. Aroma is bready caramel malt, earthy floral/herbal, pineapple, spicy, grapefruit & pine hops. Taste is caramel malt, orange, grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine & alcohol. Alcohol manifest more as bitterness & spice than warmth. Slightly off balanced as it starts & finishes slightly more malty than hoppy. Aftertaste is caramel malt, tropical fruit, resinous pine & alcohol bitter, lightly astringent & the only portion of the sip that is more hoppy than malty. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low-moderate carbonation, juicy, wet, slightly slick & lightly drawing.

Pours orange with haze. Moderate lacing. Tastes of citrus with a hoppy punch. Very similar to Alpha King.
