Just got this at Three Floyds yesterday. Served in an Imperial pint glass, nice deep golden color, white head with chunky lacing. The menu says this was brewed as an "experimental lager" with sorachi ace hops. These are interesting hops as they give this beer a distinctly tart smell and taste. It mellows out a little as the beer goes down, but I really can't get past the sweet tartness. I would say give it a try, but this isn't really for everyone. Who knows, as this beer ages I may really grow to appreciate it.

Arrives a dark amber/golden color. Good head and creamy. Drops to a film in 2 minutes. Great lace.
Smell is hops, resiny, sweet orange, maybe some malt.
Taste is sweet, orange, hops, malt.
A medium-full body, effervescent up front (tip of tongue). A hoppy orange aftertaste mellows some. Really good and only at the pub.

Pours a cloudy golden orange color with one and a half fingers of creamy white head.

Scent of hops dominate with hints of citrus and bread. One of the better smelling Pale Lagers I have come across.

Taste of sweet beady malts, grassy, and juicy hops. The sweetness of the malts works pretty well with the hops. Nothing great, but an easy drinking inoffensive beer.

Mouthfeel is light bodied with strong carbonation.

Cask at Real Ale. Described as a West Coast Lager.

A: Hazy dark orange with a massive white head.

S: Loads of citrus flesh with a light sweetness. Orange, tangerine, grapefruit. Touch of white grape and earth. I get some mango as well.

T: Piney and herbal with an upper moderate bitterness. Lots of orange and tangerine flesh. Lightly sweet.

M: Okay on cask. Bubbles would be nice but it still works. Medium body.

Overall: A nice hoppy lager.

On-tap at FFF.

A - Pours a mirky golden/orange color, white head, spotty lace.

S - Grass, lemon peel, citrus, malts/bread, and nice hop profile. The Sorachi Ace hops really give this beer a unique nose with some light spice and a floral character in there as well.

T - Grass & malts up front, light floral, citrus, and hops follow. Some light tropical fruit in there as well, but mostly fresh cut grass. Finish is light hops with some floral notes.

M - Light body, good carbonation, grassy clean finish.

O - Super-easy to drink and enjoyable for a light change-of-pace beer. The Sorachi Ace hops really take this beer in another direction compared to others in this style. Cool beer.
