First impression does this one explode with a foamy Force I got a half glass of foam with a gentle pour not a good sign at all for a beer.
Can't really think of too many Double pale ales Flying Dog Double dog comes to mind but that beer at 12% is just a boozy hoppy mess. An actual step back from the amazing Zombie dust bringing forth a higher ABV but making a somewhat boozy malty mess. Hops are there to try and balance it out to make it more palatable but idk I have no idea why this is rated so high I would rather have two regular zombies over this

Pours a nice orange amber color with a smell of citrus and earthy tones. Has a taste of big hop flavor, a very citrus bite, not overwhelmingly sharply bitter, but there in the aftertaste. Mouth feel its in between for me, not too thin not too thick. Overall a good, decent beer.

I remember fondly the first time I picked up Zombie Dust locally & still do from time to time, so this 19.2 oz. can is a welcome evolution. Split with my wife.
The pour is golden egg with a nice white cap; no haze in sight. The nose is sharp pine & booming citrus. Mmmmm.
Zombie Ice: it takes until the second sip until I get some circa 2012 hop burn on my tongue (remember them great IBU wars??). As it warms it’s a bit dusty in the middle but that bitterness just saws all the way through. A properly sized can.
Really nothing to this except hops, hops, & likely more hops. A hop ass-kicking of a style that is going extinct in the wild. Really good brew.

This Double APA is so good! Pours a golden color with a large white head on top. Gives off a hoppy smell and the taste is nothing short of the perfect blend of citrus and malts.

L: nice golden color
S: Citrus and orange
T: follows the nose ,citrus candy and orange finish, slight malt finish. Very smooth
F: smooth as hell with the slightest alcohol finish that dries it out
O: really well done, much better than expected. So balanced and drinkable and the effort that went into making it that way could be easily underappreciated

Canned on 2-28-23. 12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours golden with nice clarity; small white head that fades leaving nice retention and sticky lacing.
The aromas have a nice amount of citrus leading the way, especially grapefruit. Hints of crackers and bread. Malts are there.
The flavors are really nice. More citrus leading the way along with some hints of tropical fruit. More grapefruit along with some pineapple. Some berries in the mix. Mild hints of caramel. Malts do their thing. Finishes dry. Alcohol goes unnoticed.
Mouthfeel is nice. It's medium to full-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth, and easy to drink.
This is a great brew. It has really nice "West coast" characteristics. The craftsmanship is on point. Well done.
