Poured into a tulip glass from bottle...

A:The color of this beer was a cloudy amber with a consistent head.

S: The citrus smell was relevant and never faded.

T: This beer has an amazing flavor from the moment it hits your mouth to well after leaving a great flavor in its aftermath.

M: Though appears to be a thicker beer, the only thickness is the layers of flavor that hits your tongue through the tasting process

O: Was worried with the hype behind this beer I wouldn't be as impressed as others, though I was wrong, this is truly one of the best beers I have had the opportunity to have!!!

12-oz bottle poured into a Spieglau IPA glass.

Looks very attractive in the glass. Fluffy, foamy head with pretty evenly sized bubbles. Gold in color, nice and mostly clear. Lacing is fair to good.

Nosing, I get hit by hops and soursop (the fruit) more than anything else. The soursop I smell is what most would call the grapefruit/citrus rind. Ends in deep hop aroma, showcasing citra's amazing aromatic and bittering qualities.

Taste just blows me away. Floral hoppiness, bitter, malt balance, and fruit all in that order. Tasting as I exhale reveals the fruits a little more, sweetened slightly by the malt.

Medium bodied to carry these crazy flavors and aromas to the mouth, but not hammer you. Extremely refreshing and drinkable. My mouth misses the feeling of this beer in it after every sip.

Overall, I need to stop writing and start posting ISO of some more. This is definitely going to be the first beer I clone once homebrewing commences. Absolutely a stellar beer, and I could not be more impressed.

Now this is a great brew, but I have had better. Maybe mine is just old but idk. I got it in a trade as an extra and quite enjoyed it for what it was. Would definitely love to try it again.

Thanks to Shrode21 for the trade on this one.

A vigorous pour into my stemmed Allagash glass revealed a lovely orange colored beer with a huge bubbly head that lingered for a long time. The head left great lacing as it receded. The aroma is nice and lively with hops up front in the nose (perhaps I smell Chinook and Cascade?) The taste is extremely delightful and filled with citrus, bitterness, and a clean malt sweetness that underlies all the hop awesomeness. The initial flavor is of a nice hop citrus flavor that quickly gets shoved to the side by malty sweetness, and then the bitterness takes over and it finishes smooth and tasty. The taste evolves constantly in the mouth and is a very refreshing beer.

This is an excellent Pale Ale. I have had many IPA's that are not as hoppy as this Pale Ale, but this beer is extremely well balanced. The flavors are spot on and this is probably the best APA I have ever had. Thanks again to Shrode21 for the trade, this stuff rocks. Now, can I copy this with my homebrewing skills?

On tap at Macniven's for craft beer week. Poured a very nice mid-deep copper with fantastic head and a bit of nice lacing as it went down. Very nice scent, a wonderful citrus bitter hoppiness with a good malt sweetness underneath. Great flavors, a nice sweet malt with hints of caramel and a wonderfully citrus and slight floral hop finish that stays on the tongue for a nice bit. Wonderfully smooth, as well.

Live tasting 12 oz. bottle into Delirium tulip, bottle thanks to Peacehammer (see ya Thursday!)

Appearance; pours a lovely slightly hazy light orange/amber color with a finger of slightly bubbly pale straw colored head. Retention is good, and the head falls after a few minutes. Lacing is great with a ton of lace clinging in sheets to the sides of the glass.

Smell; holy grapefruit Batman!!! Zombie Dust features grapefruit by the ton, notes of pineapple and hints of resinous pine weave in and out.

Taste; wave upon wave of grapefruit upon grapefruit washes over my tongue. As with the smell, pineapple and resins are beautifully interwoven with the grapefruit. Slight notes of orange and lemon rinds also appear.

Mouthfeel; a medium bodied beer, with just enough carbonation to compliment the feel of the brew. Might be a tad on the lighter side for this style but I'm sure not gonna complain about that.

Overall; WOW. An outstanding pale (PALE?!?!) ale that I would definitely stack up against any standard IPA, and quite a few DIPA's. There really isn't anything pale about this brew. Bravo FFF, this beer is incredible, drinkable every day without getting boring, but awesome enough to be a special occasion brew. I will absolutely seek this beer out again, and highly recommend that you do as well.

Extremely dry as the name would imply. I've had a number of bitter IPA's and had never felt one could be too bitter until zombie dust. I like it but could not drink more than 2 in a sitting.

3 Floyds comes out with some extraordinary beers, but this one seems to be the hardest common one to find of theirs, with good reason. Everything about Zombie Dust is great and the taste makes it one of the best Apa's around! Its hard to find, but you will be happy if you do find it!

Pours a slightly hazy amber with billowy off-white head that dissipates quickly. Good lacing. It looks like a world class ale in the glass. The nose is all hops. Intense tropical fruit aromas with a whiff of grass and lemon. Bitterness at the front of the palate gives way to a malty middle that finishes with a floral, lemony hoppiness. Light bodied with great carbonation make this a very refreshing pale. Overall this a well crafted pale, complexity to rival the best DIPAs on BA with an ABV low enough to make it just about sessionable, a most impressive achievement. Thanks Xthul!
