Got this in a trade with IPAGeorge. Pours a clear orange color with a thick white head that leaves plenty of lacing. I smelled it from the bottle before pouring. Huge grapefruit and mango. Yup, this is Citra alright. A little earthiness in there as well. Taste is like biting into some sort of grapefruit/mango hybrid fruit. A nice malt backbone too to round things out. I'm getting just a hint of pine and maybe a bit of onion. Drinks incredibly smoothly. Many say this blurs the line between APA and IPA and I'd have to agree. It has that bitter edge and hop aroma of an IPA, but enough balance with the malts that brings it closer to an APA. Mouthfeel is wonderful. Clean, crisp, refreshing, very light and easy to drink. Overall, this is definitely worthy of the praise. Just a great all around beer. Huge hop presence, easy to drink, and a great ode to Citra hops. I want to compare it to the likes of Alpine's Hoppy Birthday, although that one uses more than just Citra. Really just a fantastic beer any way you look at it.

Not only is this not nearly as good as it's hyped up to be, it's not even that good in general. Definitely drinkable, and if i could buy it whenever i wanted i might buy it every now and then, but this did nothing to impress me. Dont buy into the hype ya fockin nerds.

A: Beautiful beer, clear orange amber with perfect white head retained well, and excellent lacing down.
S: Very tropical smell. Lots of fruits mango, citrus. Followed by a more floral hop and piney smell. Smell wasn't very strong however.
T: Amazing. incredibly well balanced and delicious. Very "juciy" lots of citrus and troipical fruits but its amazing how well its balanced and how easy it is to drink. There's a very slight grapefruit/ hop bitterness, but there also a semi sweet malt to it. All meshed with the fruits. And that great hop aftertaste. Its Amazing. No alcohol presence at all. Only slight downside is I wish the flavors were a little stronger.
F: Spot On. Very refreshing perfect carbonation. And perfect balance just like the taste. Not sticky or dry.

O: Little different from my normal Ipas. But an amazing beer. One of my top 3 easily. Super easy to drink and so juicy.
