Poured from bottle into snifter.

A- Nice light hay color with a touch of amber. Decent carbonation, small half finger head and medium lacing.

S- Lots of fruitiness up front. Grapefruit, mango, pear and other citrus smells with just a little floral notes.

T- Fresh citrus and floral notes. Just a little malt and pine in the aftertaste. Nice mix of hops and very smooth and drinkable. As the beer warmed up there were light notes of vanilla in the finish.

M- Light and smooth body. As mentioned, this is a crisp and refreshing IPA and that is very noticeable on the palate.

O- Definitely gives other top IPAs a run for their money. One of the better ones I've encountered and I will be trading more NE brews for these guys again in the future. Three Floyds is truly a brewery to be reckoned with and hit the nail on the head with this one.

Appearance: Pours an orangish copper color, orange kind of glows in the glass, leaves a very frothy head that lasts awhile, really good look to this brew! 4.5

Aroma: Smells incredible! Nice amount of pine, lemon zest, mango, grapefruit, and a hint of sweet malts. The hops shine through brilliantly in this beer! 4.5

Taste: I can see what all the fuss is about with this beer! Nice amount of pine, lots of lemon zest, then a blend of mango and grapefruit mixes in on the finish with a hint of sweetness and bitterness. The hop bite is strong up front but then on the finish it is surprisingly balanced, I wasn't expecting that but it is really good! 4.75

Palate: Very light and crisp like a pale ale, very refreshing, flavors don't linger too long, truly great feel to this beer! 4.75

O: This beer lives up to the hype, it is truly a great beer, if you have the opportunity to land this beer do it! 4.75
