Had the pleasure of tasting this beer multiple times throughout the past 3 years or so but this review is based on when I got my ZD cherry popped. It was poured into a small taster glass from the bottle and I could smell an intense passionfruit aroma before I even picked the glass up from the countertop. The nose on this thing absolutely blew my mind. Huge amounts of juicy tropical fruit amazingness. The flavor was the same and led me to believe that some sort of actual fruit was added to this beer, nope just citra hops! This may technically fit into the IPA category, but who cares....those lines have been blurred for a while now anyway. Cheers FFF, you did great with this one

Bottle from 5.13.14 poured into a teku

A: hazy golden orange; soapy head and lots of lacing

S: a true delight: passion fruit, mangos, and musty orange peels; mild aroma of pine, too

T: dry sweetness upfront, followed by orange peel and tropical fruits; nice malty finish; so much flavor and so refreshing

M: this is where this beer excels: it leaves a thin coat of resin and tropical-fruit stickiness on my teeth; the beer is effervescent and medium-bodied, such that it feels light, sticky, and substantial at the same time

O: world-class APA that's always a delight; endlessly drinkable and enjoyable
