I finally had some of this, received in a trade. Only a couple weeks old but was a total malt bomb. I've been told that you can find this on shelves in tons of places these days. Sounds like the QC isn't where it needs to be. This was sub par by most any standard, but likely due to being stored at room temp for 2 weeks.

12oz bottle, bottled on 09-11-17. Served in a tulip glass.

Appearance: Hazy to translucent golden yellow transitioning toward light amber. Initial 1/4" off-white foam slowly died back to leave a thin ring across the top and lots of fine persistent lacing all over the glass.

Smell: Lots and lots of citra hops. Grapefruit, pine, just a hint of mango. Delightful.

Taste: Hoppy from start to finish. Citrus and tropic fruit up front, just enough malt sweetness (a bit bready) in the middle, and then a long bitter finish with grapefruit and a strong lingering bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Good carbonation - scrubbing the tongue a bit, but with plenty of hop oils sticking on the teeth. Good thickness as well, very smooth.

Overall / Drinkability: I see why this one is rated so high. Citra is a great hop to showcase alone, and this one is packed full of that hop and it's not overdone. For an APA, very hoppy - I would have classified this an AIPA. Very drinkable by itself, and I think this would go well with food. I'll have to look for it again and see what it pairs with. However, I think just one per evening. It is soooo hoppy that it's wearing out my palate by itself. Another one and I'm not sure I would taste anything other than Citra for the rest of the evening and into the next day. So I would definitely have it often, just not more than one per evening.

Courtesy of @FFFjunkie. Bottled 9/11/2017 and poured into 3 Floyds pint glass. It pours a hazy, orange-amber with a finger plus of fluffy, ecru-colored head that resembles gelato, and thick, elegant lacing that never dissipated. It's a beautiful pour. The nose is primarily malty with lemon peel, grapefruit, lots of pine, and aromatic hops. It's dank and decidedly bitter with abundant biting Citra hops but there's also a noticeable flavor of sweet malt and there is also subtle lemon and pineapple, particularly as the glass warms. It finishes with pepper notes. For an APA, it has a creamy, viscous mouth feel with lively carbonation. And with a temperate ABV of 6.2%, it's a very easy drinker. Overall, Zombie Dust is simply an exquisite Pale Ale; one of the best I've ever had. And it's a nice throwback inasmuch as it doesn't rely on a lot of tropical fruit. This is brewing at its best! I checked and it's my highest-rated APA. Which says a lot since Sneak Box is outstanding.

Intensely hoppy American Pale Ale with a well-rounded bitterness that appeals to the American IPA fan that I am.
Look: pale orangey amber.
Smell: though ''only'' 6%, a little alcohol in the nose.
Taste / Feel: smooth and fresh, with subdued malt.
Overall, an exceptional American Pale Ale. But why do they limit purchase to 2×12 ounces bottles in Milwaukee liquor stores? (as of Sep.2017).

The hype for this is unreal which may lead to some dissappointment. Otherwise, this is hands down one of the best IPAs and a must try. Worthy of the 5 rating.

Opens with pine, grass, and dank hop aromas. Flavor is fruity and juicy with a note of pine. It has moderately high bitterness and a smooth finish that is both malty and bitter. There is a clean, sweet malt backbone that makes this beer very balanced between malt and hops.
