Life a Rich life is a Belgian Style IPA that in thought was one of the stoopidest names ever.... Until I read on the side of the bottle that it was dedicated to a young gentleman named Rich Sheppard. It pours with an aggressive foamy bright white head. It looks translucent amber/orange... Reminds me of orange/cherry 'Jell-O' The taste isn't nearly as 'yeasty' as I expected. In fact, I wouldn't know it was a Belgian style at all init weren't on the bottle. Taste was very pine heavy, starts off extremely piney and finishes with a heavy dose of citrus, mostly orange, tangerine and Pineapple. Feel is rich and creamy. Rather light and crisp. While it is def worth seeking out. I will say a drawback for me is, the 'Soap' taste that some IPA's have. Overall, great brew by one of my fav breweries~

Rich Life had me at 100 IBUs! The smell ignites the senses with the strength of the hops. I can't lie, My mouth began to water once I took a sniff. The color is a like caramel. The first taste made me think of gumball head, but has much more bite from the hops. I like this a lot and wish I could get it in a 6 pack.

Poured into a Dogfish Head IPA glass.
A - 4.5 - Poured a nice dark honey gold, slightly unfiltered cloudiness. Nonexistent head potential, retention or lacing.
S - 3.75 - Lower rating on the smell. Had the nice bright bouquet of oranges, mango, hops and grapefruit I expected, but also a TON of not so welcome malt. Honestly thought I had bought an old beer at first (date was smudged)
T - 4.75 - The belgian styling makes the taste absolutely stellar. Has the big, full on hop profile you'd expect with a decent amount of sweetness and a sharp, bitter biting end, but it finishes clean, crisp and instantly. The sweetness doesn't make it syrupy and the bitterness doesn't linger. It finishes sharp and clean, making it a powerful, yet thirst-quenching DIPA.
F - Light bodied, very thin to me, but this works great with its clean and thirst quenching qualities.
O - 4.75 - What a damned fine brew, one of the better DIPA's I've had in a long time. Highly recommended!

22 oz poured into glass.
Appearance: Hazy, milky amber that is pretty opaque with a good amount of bubbles. Off white head leaves some good lacing on the glass.
Smell: Citrus hops like most big IPAs. Pine notes. It smells tasty.
Taste: Milky and citrus. Interesting. Refreshing.
Mouthfeel: Crisp. Smooth. Slight pine after taste.
Overall: Glad I grabbed the last bottle of this. Definitely worth it.

A - Pours a beautiful clear deep copper color with three fingers of creamy tan head. Head has great retention and leaves nice rings of lacing. A steady stream of carbonation rises.
S - Big citrus hops aroma, with grapefruit and orange zest. Also a bit of pine, some caramel malt and only faint Belgian yeast. The caramel malt adds a definite sweetness to the aroma.
T - Lots of citrus. Not just hop bitter citrus, but some juicy citrus as well. Taste is quite floral and somewhat sweet. Bitterness is assertive, but not overpowering. Very nice.
M - Medium, creamy mouthfeel with a bitter dry herbal finish.
O - Very nice. The Belgian aspect is pretty muted, but this is a nice DIPA.
