Notes:
A collaboration/dedication ale brewed with our friend Urbain from the Belgian brewery De Struise, this intense Belgian-style double IPA was fermented with Urbain's special yeast and then an amazing amount of hops were added. This beer was brewed in loving memory of a former employee, Rich Sheppard, who passed away on 4.11.11. Art by Tommy Borst. Try this beer and enjoy the Rich life.

look: 4.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.75
Poured into a Dogfish Head IPA glass.
A - 4.5 - Poured a nice dark honey gold, slightly unfiltered cloudiness. Nonexistent head potential, retention or lacing.
S - 3.75 - Lower rating on the smell. Had the nice bright bouquet of oranges, mango, hops and grapefruit I expected, but also a TON of not so welcome malt. Honestly thought I had bought an old beer at first (date was smudged)
T - 4.75 - The belgian styling makes the taste absolutely stellar. Has the big, full on hop profile you'd expect with a decent amount of sweetness and a sharp, bitter biting end, but it finishes clean, crisp and instantly. The sweetness doesn't make it syrupy and the bitterness doesn't linger. It finishes sharp and clean, making it a powerful, yet thirst-quenching DIPA.
F - Light bodied, very thin to me, but this works great with its clean and thirst quenching qualities.
O - 4.75 - What a damned fine brew, one of the better DIPA's I've had in a long time. Highly recommended!

Rich Life had me at 100 IBUs! The smell ignites the senses with the strength of the hops. I can't lie, My mouth began to water once I took a sniff. The color is a like caramel. The first taste made me think of gumball head, but has much more bite from the hops. I like this a lot and wish I could get it in a 6 pack.

Life a Rich life is a Belgian Style IPA that in thought was one of the stoopidest names ever.... Until I read on the side of the bottle that it was dedicated to a young gentleman named Rich Sheppard. It pours with an aggressive foamy bright white head. It looks translucent amber/orange... Reminds me of orange/cherry 'Jell-O' The taste isn't nearly as 'yeasty' as I expected. In fact, I wouldn't know it was a Belgian style at all init weren't on the bottle. Taste was very pine heavy, starts off extremely piney and finishes with a heavy dose of citrus, mostly orange, tangerine and Pineapple. Feel is rich and creamy. Rather light and crisp. While it is def worth seeking out. I will say a drawback for me is, the 'Soap' taste that some IPA's have. Overall, great brew by one of my fav breweries~

A - Deep orange/gold color with a sticky, half finger-head. Very beautiful!
S - Citrusy, sweet IPA aroma. Nothing overpowering. Subtlety seems to be 3F's thing when it comes to smell.
T - A sweet, citrusy front, with a slightly bitter, hoppy back. Went down smooth with it's fruitiness, tingled with its hoppiness, and confused with it's hidden yeast, in that order.
M - Great carbonation for an IPA, a bit foamy at first, a bit oily after it went down. The monsters of Munster did it again!
O - Perfection. An explosion of tastes without being overwhelming.
I've tried this once on tap out of a snifter and then found it again at a local's only brew fest. Please believe that I wore out my welcome at their tasting tent!

On tap at fff on father's day
a- hazy golden orange with a head that sticks around for a while
S-great fruity smell. I literally cannot get enough of it
T- this sets the standard for Belgian Ipas. So flavorful and complex. I want to take all of it home with me.
M-nice sweetness upfront with a bitterness that sits on the tounge.
O-great beer. They set the bar here

Nice copper color, maybe 1/8 thick head
Everything you'd want in a Belgian IPA.
Banana and clove-y aroma and taste, also a bright and citrusy. When you are torn between a Duvel and a Sierra Nevada, and you happen to live in Indiana, this is definitely your best choice

Thanks to Robbiemoy13 for this bottle. Poured in to FFF stemmed tulip.
A - Hazy medium amber with a big glow throughout. Two fingers of off white head that receded to a half finger. Good lacing.
S - Big bitterness up front with pine, citrus and floral aromas. A pretty prominent malt sweetness provides balance and adds caramel and candy-like aromas. No big Belgian qualities aside from the candy. Nice nose overall.
T - Sharp bitterness up front that immediately gives way to a big malt sweetness and caramel and candy flavours. Some good grapefruit and pine flavours are present from the hops. A slight spiciness in the finish. Excellent balance.
M - Medium body, creamy. Lots of tongue-coating hop oils. Light carbonation.
