2015 vintage. Some of the dice has faded but is still moderately present. Solid Porter but nothing outstanding. A little thin on the body. Not great but something cool to drink at Christmas.

16oz draft pour.
A deep dark, bottomless, brown colored body floats a thin haze of tan bubbles.
Aroma is hops, like the King.
Toasty malt flavor with hints of toffee and some chocolate.
Mouth feel is thick and a little glassy, but eventually dry.
Nice in freezing temps.

12oz pour on tap into snifter.

A: Black body leaning toward a little brown. Lightsmall tight creamy somewhat off white head.

S: Light roasted malts adecent amount of floral hops.

T: A little bit of a maltiness followed by a muddled resin and floral hops presence that disappears quickly.

M: Leaning toward a fuller body a little creamy.

O: Very average beer not hoppy enough to make a decent black IPA and a touch too hoppy and muddled to make a decent porter.

22oz bomber poured into a Natty Greene's pint glass:

Look: Pours an amazing jet black color with a nice dark tan head. Lacing is present with good retention. Love the way this beer pours!

Smell: Roasted malts & chocolate are heavy with a bit of citrus and piney notes from the aggressive hopping of this porter. Enjoying the aroma of the hops added to this.

Taste: Lots of chocolate and roasted malts coming thru but also a nice bitterness from the hops shines thru. Love the addition of the hops in this porter for a different spin on a porter. Very complex for a porter but in a good way!

Feel: Medium body with a nice creaminess texture!

Overall: Rock solid porter from the crew at 3 Floyds! This is one of the best porters I have had. Lucky to get my hands on a bomber of this. I will be revisiting this one next winter.
