Bottle shared at Klooster. Pitch black with a thin tan head. Notes of roasted coffee, chocolate, macerated cherries, sherry, bitter fruit, alcohol. Full bodied, bitter and sour finish.

2011 vintage; drank 5/20/14 @ Yuss Haus.
Poured from the bottle into a glass.
Black hue.
Dark tan head; minimal lace.
Dark cherry & candle wax nose.
Thick mouthfeel.
Dark cherry, fresh earth & bakers chocolate flavors, melded perfectly. A masterpiece of dark flavors; complex & delicious.

This was one of those beers that the sum of its parts was less than them individually. I just didn't like the blend, too dark fruit hot bitter alcohol came through.
Looked like Dark Lord, thick, black, viscous. Smelled like super charred roast and dark fruits, too much ibus, too much hops. They took some of the hard to swallow parts of these beers and amped 'em up.

Milk chocolate, bitter roasted malts, some dark fruits. Short, smooth, bitter finish. A little bit of sweetness. Reminds me of a European Imperial Stout that Mikkeler and De Struise are known for. It's not bad.Holding up pretty well.

Got 4 years age on it, and it's showing. Big dark fruit aromas, with sherry and fudgey chocolate notes. Flavor is dark cherry/sherry dominant, with an underlying fudge note. Would've loved to have tried it fresh. Still, a complex, interesting beer.
