To honor Dark Lord Day, opened a bottle of 2010 Dark Lord to share with some non BA friends. Bottle poured into a plastic cup. Beer pours pitch black with little to no head, maybe a deep brown skim of film. Just looks thick.

Nose is dark chocolate and vanilla, a touch of smoky and roasted malt. Very aromatic.

Taste follows the nose, not as sweet as I remember this being. Rich dark chocolate, touch of vanilla, sweet caramel, light smoke and roasty bitterness. Finish lingers with dark chocolate on the tongue.

Full body, thick and viscous, sticking to the tongue with a tiny sip. A little age did this bottle some good as the alcohol and sweetness wasn't as much as I remember this being. Nice beer.
