Poured 12oz bottle into snifter. It's a dull orange with a 2 finger white head and plenty of webbed lacing. Hoppy aroma of citrus and some pine bitterness with light malts. Flavor of tropical, citrus hops with some light sweet malt and piney bitterness. Nice carbonation with a juicy and mildly dry feel. Not all that distinguishable from Yumyum, but enjoyable on a warm day.

12oz, bottled on 1-24-17
A - opaque amber with a foamy ivory head
S - juicy hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, and grain
T - big juicy hop flavors pair well with caramel malt and grain. Mango, orange zest, pine, and a pepperiness in there as well
M - medium body, finishes moderately bitter yet still sweet & juicy
O - great APA, and I expect no less from 3 Floyds! I'll buy this again.

Bottled 4-4-17

Pours beautifully with a nice golden color and fluffy white head that lingers and clings.

Smells sweet and biscuity with hints of citrus.

Taste is a nice mix of orange rinds, pine and cracker. I dig the bite this carries at the end. I keep going for another sip.

Light feel with average carbonation (which is good). You can tell it's a well made beer.

I'm glad a found the last sixer in the shop. I still prefer both Zombie Dust and Alpha King though.

Bottled 2/14/17. I've had three of these starting about one month after bottling and each time I am wondering if something is off with my smell and tastebuds. I get very little smell and taste, just the slightest malt hops. Very average and won't be rebuying, especially at the 3F price point.

Pours a clear dark orange with a finger head. Aroma-a bit flowery, and lemony, grapefruit, hint of mango. Taste- ripe pineapple, and mango, a decent malt profile to this. A little minty. Mouthfeel has medium carbonation. Overall, this ain't knocking my socks off or anything. But it's a nice beer.

I got the Space Station Middle Finger Pale Ale (IBU 50) via a beer trade and I thought it was a very nice Pale Ale.

Look: cloudy golden with a two-inch white head.

Aroma: it has a pleasant aroma with citrus and pine

Taste: The taste is crackers/toasted malts, grapefruit, mango, medium bitterness (IBU 50).

Feel: Its light and very juicy, and extremely good.

Traditional golden straw color, fairly carbonated but head is lacking. Aroma carries bright citrus upfront with plenty of floral hops playing a supporting role (Amarillo). A little chalky yeast as well. Taste starts with a grapefruit / citrus flavor, and doesn't go forward much from there. Malt bill doesn't add much, and the hop varietal is limited (there is Citra upfront, but the rest is almost straight Simcoe). It is on the more aggressively hopped side as per FFF's style, but not as abrasive as some of their beers. Body is just a tad thin. Solid beer but not much depth.

Thanks to Grizzarky for this one, from NBS BIF #5. 12oz bottle poured into 12oz flared tulip. Bottled on 2/7/17. Poured a lightly hazy golden amber color, with about a half inch of off-white head that had good lacing and moderate retention.

The aroma was dominated by a bubblegummy sweetness. There was a very light grain aroma in the background, and not much hop presence. The bubblegum wasn't notable on the tongue, but the rest of the olfactory aspects were about the same on the palate. Nothing particularly notable, flavorwise.

The body was smooth and even, fairly typical for the style. Drinkability was decent, but the lack of personality makes one ask why they're bothering. Overall, not terrible, but not really notable either. I suspect that this is a beer that sells just on its name. The brewery probably sells a fair number of T-shirts with the label art.

surprised to see it in the local college beat neck mart. well, yeah they have a great beer selection surprisingly but didn't think 3 was in ohio with the sixers.

so that is good. took a gamble. cause I wasnt privy on this one from floyds. new I guess. and yeah a gamble cause floyds is so dam pricey.

good clean smell. bitterness up front on this one. malt coming in behind the hop..love the smell. it is super fresh. brewed 2.27.17. wondering how it got here so quick.

some apricot smells. not super floral like zombie. need to let it warm a bit here...pause...

its missing something... but maybe not cause its a pale. and falls into that realm.

good approaching great as it should for the price. not quite zombie perfection though..

Pours out a mixture of yellow and orange. 3/4" of white head, ample retention especially when considering the high amount of hops in this one. And that is apparent on the first whiff. Plenty aromatic, all the usual descriptors, citrus, tropical, pine, green, lush.

Taste, nice light bodied, relatively dry pale toasted malt backbone, ample juicy hops with tempered bitterness. Basically this is elite level pale ale stuff. Carbonation on point. Quaffable and easy to do so. Caramel malt aspect is minimal. Really the only downside to this beer is its bomber format. Put it in a 6 pack and charge $2-$2.50 a 12oz bottle and I'm upping my score.

Space Station Middle Finger by FFF is much like Zombie Dust but a bit smoother and less bitter in taste...lots of flavor. Pours a 1 finger head with a bit of lacing down the glass. Nice hops touch that is not overbearing and a hint of sweet malts in there. Now my new favorite FFF selection. This is new to me as it was not offered before where I have shopped for beer. Now I can get it at my local liquor store at $11.48 a six-pack. Since the FFF brewery is 40 minutes away from where I live I can get their stuff fresh. This six-pack was only 1 week old!

Finally, Space Station Middle Finger is relatively available in six-packs in my local grocery store, and I am so happy! As others have mentioned, FFF kills it with their pale ales. Perfect balance between malt and hops. SSMF isn't as good as Zombie Dust, nor is it as good in the bottle as it is on tap at the brewery, but it's an excellent alternative to ZD and will stay in the rotation. Also good for people who like Gumballhead.

12 oz Bottled 2/7/17
Poured a hazy copper with an inch of whitehead that left heavy sticky lacing.
Aroma is of sweet fruity candy, orange peel, light pine and resin.
Taste is big juicy citrus, and grapefruit, on a cracker like malt base.
Feel is spot on for a hop forward pale. Enough malts to keep for a solid medium body but not so much to mute the hop profile.
Overall a very enjoyable and very crushable APA showcasing citrus hops.

This is a beer I have had regular access to for years, but always passed at $10 @ 22oz. It's in 12 oz bottles now.
3 Floyds Space Station Middle Finger 6% 50 IBU pale ale bottled 2/14/17. Yellow/gold in color with little head but great lacing. Smells good with a vague fruit aroma. Tastes great. 3 Floyds always gets the malt & hop package right on their pales. Perfect balance. Citrus rind, earthy flavors, and tropical fruit all come out in this. Mouthfeel is full but not sweet. Overall, this is an outstanding pale and in a much more economical package to buy or trade. Recommend

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Three Floyds pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear amber orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and about a finger of off white head which settles into a thin creamy patch.

Smell: A juicy and earthy aroma with a scent of citrus fruit and pine. Upfront citrus hop scent of orange, grapefruit, papaya, passion fruit, lemon, and mango with some pineapple. Earthy hop hints of pine and grass. Also some hints of tea. Malt hints of caramel, grains, and cracker with yeast. A very good juicy aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and earthy hop driven taste with notes of citrus fruit and pine. Juicy citrus hop notes of orange, grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, papaya, and lemon with pineapple. Earthy hop notes of pine and grass. Background malt notes of caramel, grains, and cracker along with yeast. Also some light notes of tea. A very nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, crisp, and very smooth.

Overall: A very good Pale Ale. Nice citrus hop flavor with a moderate smooth body.

Middle of the road pale ale. Well balanced and quaffable. Scent is not unpleasant, though hop notes are muted. While many of this beer's attributes are slightly above the norm, mouthfeel exceeds expectations.

Pours a deep clear copper, about a half inch of head, solid lace retention. Pineapple, grapefruit, pine, resin on the nose. Tastes of candied fruit at the start, finishes with malty biscuit - absolutely delicious, moderated flavor. Doesn't have that full mouthfeel of a Zombie Dust, but has a light, crisp carbonation. Overall makes me wish I had bought more.

Tasty pale ale with a mix of big mandarin orange and background toffee-caramel malt. The hops are the focus, of course, with a dry, spicy finish and cracked pepper. I'd have a few.

12oz bottle just bottled on 11/22 poured into an East End Brewing pint glass:

Look: Pours a nice golden to orange color with roughly an inch of head. Lacing is present with good retentions.

Smell: Notes of citrus such as oranges and grapefruit along with some pine.

Taste: Taste follows the nose along with a decent malty bready backbone present. Slight bitterness but nothing too crazy.

Feel: Medium bodied and crisp!

Overall: Another mighty fine pale from 3 Floyds! A step below Alpha King and Zombie Dust in my opinion but still very solid! Love it when my buddy comes back to PA and brings these delicious beers back! I would seek this one out again if given the opportunity!

First had poured from 22-oz. bomber into nonic pint. Space Station Middle Finger is appreciably less expensive than most of 3F's other big bottles, but a beautifully-balanced pale ale.
