Had this on tap at "The Tap" in Bloomington, IN. Here goes:

A: Good. Clear yellow with a one-inch head. Leaves some lacing, but less than normal for beers of the style. Also less carbonation than normal.

S: Amarillo hops impart a very floral smell; really, it smells like a bouquet of flowers. Citrus, mild grapefruit, peach and herbal grass. Also some wheat in the background.

T: Adequate hops, but not as complex as I would've liked - very grassy. Wheaty presence makes itself known at the back of the tongue. Overall, good but not great.

M: Nice and bready. Rather full-bodied for a wheat beer.

O: A solid beer. Was a little disappointed given the rave reviews, however.

Got four of these in a trade with Remobsu. My first BA trade. Was totally psyched to try this brew, but ultimately was disappointed. Nose was less than I expected, but dug the cloudy golden yellow pour. First sip tasted quite odd. Was it the Amarillo hops? Second sip more of the same.. Really hard to describe but the taste was not familiar. Not horrible, but did not live up to the hype for me.

*About time I write a review for this one.

Pours a hazy golden in color w/ a 1/2 finger white head that lingers and produces moderate amounts of lacing on the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, a little peach flesh, and some fresh cut farm straw which I assume is the wheat. The flavor starts w/ an initial blast of malt sweetness, right into grapefruit, and closes w/ herbal hop bite. Medium bodied and oh, so lush! The wheat usage makes this small beer very chewy and creates the perfect mouthfeel bumping up the review score in my book. One could really drink the shit out of this brew!

Overall, by no means a revelation, but a real go to brew that you could drink volumes of if you were in that kind of mood.
