Pours up golden, no lacing, small white head. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon peel, a lil peach. Taste is same as nose, grassy hops up front, white pepper, a crisp hefeweizen yeast. Doesn't taste too traditional. Clean finish, non aggressive carbo, light leaning medium body. Very tasty brew.

Bottled 12/30/2013 Kudos to Three Floyds for starting to date!

Pours a Clear gold, half finger of white head

Smell lemon, grapefruit, grain, sweet sugar like sweetness (from the wheat possibly) Oranges, apricots

Taste is very good, lemon, grapefruit, bready malt, wheat, grassy hop, orange and orange peel, papaya, apricots, wow really good

Mouthfeel is medium, fine carbonation, wheat adds some body, finishes dry

Wow, IMO this is Three Floyds best beer, having had a bunch of them, none of them and that includes Zombie Dust an Alpha King hold a candle to this masterpiece of a beer!

Straw golden pour with decent fluffy white head that stays around. Lacing spiders down the sides.

Smells like the inside of a bubblegum coin machine : ) Hop presence with with strains of wheat. Fragrant with citrus.

Tastes of grapefruit rind and pine. Grain malt bill noted. Exceptionally balanced.

Mouthfeel is on the lighter side and has been sessionable for me. Crisp and refreshing.

This was my first FFF over three years ago. I still buy it in abundance to this day. The best wheat pale produced today. At one time I couldn't find Gumball Head and a store clerk told me to try a Lil Sumpin Sumpin-absolutely not the same and pales (excuse the pun) by comparison.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass

A: hazy yellow with frothy white head

S: A little fruit and sweet wheat a slight bitterness

T: Sweet wheat with a fair amount of hops bitterness, nice clean flavor

M: Highly carbonated but give the beer a good dry finish

O: Good wheat beer, very good use of hops, I enjoyed this but wouldn't go out of my way to trade for it.

I may be a bit partial to Gumballhead, it is a top 5 beer for me. I had this on tap that they only had 22 ounce drafts (I was not complaining) It poured a pretty clear but smooth appearance, also noted a little head formed. The aroma is phenomenal, a very hop-forward yet APA scent. Obviously being three floyds the hops will definitely be prevalent and with Gumballhead they did not disappoint. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Any time any restaurant has it on draft I will be purchasing.

Pours a clear light golden with a frothy ivory head that lingers.

There's a wheat/grain sweetness, which juxtaposes the resiny hop character. Fairly floral, as well.

Herbal hop character and wheat are prevalent. There's a hint of resiny bitterness in the aftertaste, and the malt backbone is somewhat crackery.

Carbonation has a bite, body is moderate.

Not my favorite fff beer, by far. Nothing special as far as I'm concerned. Just lacks character.

Further review shows modest grapefruit character, but the finish sneaks in too early.
