Pours a clear golden hue. Not much in the realm of aroma. It is a pretty refreshing light Lager. Nothing special and not much flavor to it, but also nothing offensive about it either. Unassuming.

I think that I picked this up during one of my many forays up to New England. I have a number of friends up there & it usually does not take much to get me to come up, especially for a weekend.

All of this talk of sharks has me afraid to Crack! open this CAN! What if it is as shark-infested as the South China Sea?!? Heck, even one might be too many for me to handle. I decided to be brave and open it anyway. Why do I hear the theme to "Jaws"?!? I took a deep breath, Crack!ed it open & waited. Nothing untoward was happening, but I CANducted a gentle Glug anyway, just in case ... I got a brief finger of foamy, bone-white head with limited retention, but that was all. Color was Pale-Straw (SRM = 1 -2) with NE-quality clarity & a good bit of effervescence visible in the form of CO2 bubbles. Nose smelled faintly of grass & honey, like a slow summer day on the farm. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, but with a continued effervescence. The taste really reminded me of a Bud Light Lime, which was okay for the style. Finish was light, semi-dry and very refreshing, which is what they are shooting for. Since there were no sharks in evidence, I polished the rest of it off & went to CANtinue The CANQuest (tm) is safer waters.

Pours a clear light yellow with a foamy bone head that fades to nothing. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and grass aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, grass, and frosted corn flake flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid aromas and flavors for a craft take on the style.

Serving type: can.

12oz can poured into a pint glass.

A: Golden/yellow. Awesome clarity. Tight, fine-bubbled head sputters into nothing after a short time.

S: hops lead with lemon/lime aromas. Whiffs of hay and barley malt with a very light toast. Very clean and simple.

T: Bready malts, light toast. Hops soon take over with a strong and oily lemon/lime pull. Stiff bitterness. Very clean. Instantaneous finish of Limey hops and bready grain.

M: Light bodied. Thin creaminess. Acutely sharp and fine-bubbled carbonation.

O: no frills, nothing special. Just a clean and simple light lager. the hops are actually a little much though. It's almost like someone zested a lime right into a light lager. Meh.

Poured from a 12oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains light malts, lager yeast and a faint touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out with some malt sweetness. Then some grain and lager yeast breadiness comes in. The hops presence is decent for the style and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, light body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: A little tasty, goes down very easily, not filling at all, mild kick, very good representation of style, this is one of the better beers that I’ve had in the style.
