Whale's Tale Pale Ale is an English style pale ale named in honor of Nantucket's whaling history. Wonderfully balanced with Maris Otter malt, hints of crystal malt and generously hopped with East Kent Goldings, it has a rich honey color and fruity hop aroma.

750ml corked bottle with a retro, simply stated label.
Lots of thick, out of control, crazy head on this one with nice lacing. Smells of hops and malt and tastes of the same. Lots of carbination starting trouble in the mouth before it settles itself down and behaves. I'm glad I tried this one that called to me from the bottom shelf at Gordon's in Waltham, but I don't know if I would get it again if I had something hoppier to choose. According to their website it was intentionally brewed to be not so hoppy. Some people like less hops, some like more. I'm the later so please grab me a 90 Minute.

Decent beer. Could use less hops but otherwise it's excellent.

Another beauty of a beer, slick and creamy, sticky lacing all the way around and down. Light malty aroma, taste more malt capped with a touch of bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Cisco Whale's Tale English Pale Ale, 5.6% - this is really good, and such a pretty beer! Deep, dark, fruity hops and crystal malts make for a nice break from grapefruit and flowers! Cheers!

Clear amber appearance with an average size off white head and decent lacing. Earthy, herbal, bready aroma paired with a touch of spice. Subtle, rounded hop flavors matched against a strong malt backbone. Bitterness is evident but not sharp. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel.
