Had on tap. Pours hazy, bright yellow in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is tangerine and orange. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, and slightly bitter. Juicy and one of the better Cisco beers I have had. That said, I prefer several other NEIPAs more.

On-tap at Waterfront Ale House, New York, NY

A; The beer is clear yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down, leaving lacing down the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Light aromas of orange citrus are present in the nose; some hints of grapefruit are also noticeable.
T: The beer has light flavors of orange peel and has a light to moderate amount of bitterness. Hints of underlying pale malts are also detectable.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer does a good job at masking any traces of alcohol from the taste.

Serving type: on-tap

...never heard of this brewery.
...totally out of the blue.
...recommended by a packy owner (or, relative of?).
---> well done, Enfield Liquor and Wine.
It's not nearly as hazy as I'm used to...but, it just took one taste to know I was in familiar territory.
From a can (as I prefer), soft-poured into a flare, it had a soapy ring of head...carbonation was perfect.
I immediately went to the website, but it didn't say much...too bad, this brew should be celebrated, digitally. I'd say, this is is a Galaxy-based recipe....reminds me of Tree House's Green. Don't expect it to be citrusy, because it's not...but, that's a good thing...it stands apart in a world overrun with Citra-centric beers.
If you see this on tap, order it.
If you're standing in a store, and checking to see what Beer Advocate has to say...buy it...buy all of it.

canned July 29, 2017

Pours a light fluffy 1/2 finger head that fades at a slower pace, soapy lacing, very clear honey pale color little orange hue, not hazy at all for NEIPA

Nose unfortunate onion, green onion, pine sap, resin, earthy, maybe a hint of lemon zest otherwise no citrus or tropical fruit, no fruit at all, shame to call it a NEIPA

Taste brings toasted grainy malt first, sweet still with perfumey alcohol and phenols, alcohol burn like its 10%, then big onion and pine sap again, earthy, rancid vegetal, spicy hop, again no fruit whatsoever. Sticky boozy finish

Mouth is heavier bod, big alcohol, fluffy carb

Overall wow, probably the worst Cisco beer I've ever had, this missed on every level except carbonation, shame this even leaves the brewery.

Picked-up a four-pack at Luke's in Rockland for about twelve dollars. I have had many Cisco brews before, a mild fan. Not a big fan of this brew, has kind of an odd aftertaste, would not buy again.

Many thanks to SawDog505 for this can!

A - Pours a hazy medium pale orange color with light carbonation.

S - Lots of tropical fruit. Pineapple, guava, tangerine, red grapefruit.

T - Nice tropical fruit, guava, tangerine, pineapple, and pine resin from start to finish with some lingering pine bitterness.

M - Medium body with soft carbonation.

O - This is a very nice Double IPA.

16oz can dated 7/28/17.

Pours clear gold with a a chill haze. Average head and retention. Aromatics are moderately tropical with shades of peach, pear, and grapefruit with some pine following through. Medium bodied with a resinous, tacky mouthfeel. Pine and citrus on the palate with a firm bitterness and some sweet malt following through. Finishes with some honey-drizzled pear.

Reminds me a slightly more tropical Victory Hop Whallop. Certainly needs more tropical hops, a softer, more textured body, and a dryer malt character to be considered an NEIPA though.

Poured into a Game of Thrones glass canned on 7/29/17. Pours a hazy dark yellow with a 2 inch sticky white head that leaves plenty of webs of lace.

Smell is apricot, guava, pine, and grapefruit.

Taste follows tropical guava, apricot, tangerine, pine, and a shot of grapefruit in the slightly bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is about medium, moderate life, not really dry or juicy, and drinks very easy at 8%.

Overall this is a pretty good example, but lacking the juicyness and just kind of bland.
