Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Clear and golden amber with a lacing white head. Hoppy and slight woody aroma. Vague citrusy note too. Smooth and dry malty base flavour with a distinct and solid hops spiced bitter flavour on top. Dry and bitter finish with a dark fruity note and a solid wooden base into the far finish. Interesting complex style.

Pours a brown amber color with a nice one to one and a half finger head. The smell is of sweet malt and some rye malt as well as some citrusy hops. The taste is of rye malt and sweet malts with some citrusy hops to balance out the flavor and some other fruit notes present. The mouthfeel is smooth and buttery, there is a light carbonation. The drinkability is very high this is a very very good beer.

Very dark for an IPA with very little head. Tastes like dessert. Like brown sugar and tons of malt. I get how some feel this beer has barleywine qualities. Wish the hops stood out a little more prominently but still for all it is a fantastic brew.
