12 oz bottle was poured into a stella tulip glass.

Appearance: Slight head that has reduced an let some lacing on the side of the glass. The beer is a reddisch amber color with sloght signs of carboantion. Looks delicious.

Smell: Very malty and sweet. Scents of caramel and butterscotch too. Whoa, plenty of alcohol in this one folks.

Taste: Sweet caramel and toffee notes, a little biscuit, some alcohol, grapefruit, and citrus towards the backbone.

Mouthfeel: SIlky smooth. Low carboantion and medium to full bodied. Alcohol and booziness towards the end, but still good. it's a sipper, so take your time.

Overall: I have had this beer plenty of times whether I buy a four pack or bomber. Great to share with friends and family and sometime great to sip on while doing things on the computer or watching tv.

22 ounce bomber - $4.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a clear, deep, mahogany-hued body with a large, off-white head. Delicate lacing on the way down.

Smell: Rich-smelling nose of toasted bread crumbs and dark, equally toasted caramel. This is set against bright, predominately fruity hop notes of various candied citrus fruits.

Taste: Toasted bread crusts coated in rich caramel sauce with a crystal malt sweetness and just a pinch of table sugar followed by the piquant, though pleasant spiciness of malted rye. Various hop flavors roll past the tongue depositing bitterness: white pine, grapefruit rinds, pineapple, tangerine, and even Meyer lemons. Eventually, a bolt, moderate bitterness builds, egged on by the spicy rye and held in place by the robust body. Add in a couple turns of the pepper grinder. Finishes mostly dry with a melange of hop tastes disunited by final flecks of caramel.

Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation. There's a nice heft to the overall mouthfeel.

Drinkability: Ah, Lenny, we hardly knew ye. Though a bit brash at times, it was still an enjoyable potent brew that, despite it's potency, bitterness, and punchy alcohol content, went down reasonably easily.

On tap at The Mellow Mushroom, Winter Park, Florida. Served in a pint glass, a translucent coppery brown color with some thin tan head. The head wasn't too thick, but it did provide some nice lacing.

Smells earthy, yet sweet with the hops in the backside of the scent. Love the way the brewer blends in the rye to provide a complex smell.

Nice full bodied brew, very creamy.

Tastes extremely smooth. Hard to believe this is a 10% abv brew. Virtually no alcohol taste. Nice malty backbone and big tasty hops finish.

One of the most drinkable "Big Beers" I've ever enjoyed.
