Part of a craft beer 10 pack given to me for Christmas...free beer...woo hoo!!
Appearance: Pours a cloudy amber with a wispy white head. Head retention is pretty poor.
Smell: Not much going on in this department. A light sweet syrupy smell rolls out of the glass.
Taste: Prickly hop bitterness up front with some strong wheat and bread-like notes that follow up the hops and give this beer a little chutzpah. A light lemony finish rounds out the beer.
Mouthfeel: medium and crispy. Pretty one-dimensional but for what it is, it's well done.
Drinkability: Easily a session. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Not sure this qualifies as an American Pale Ale. Seems almost like an American Brown Ale. Well done but nothing out of the ordinary.

From notes 7/20/12: Pours a coppery caramel color producing 2 fingers of frothy, variouly bubbled frothy , beige, somewhat lasting head that leaves a nice coating of lace. Aroma is caramel and toasted malts with a small amount of floral hops. Taste is similar with more hop character in the form of a nice bitterness which emerges in the finish and lingers into the aftertaste.

Dark beer, almost brown, some hints of a darker red with it, 1/5" head, off white. Aroma leaned nutty. I'm on the fence on whether this is a brown or an amber ale at this point.
Taste was malty. Barely any hops. Some bitterness. Lots of bread stuff going on. Meh.
Would not bang again.

From tasting notes. L: Pours rich amber with a slight haze under a 1” white foam collar that grips the side of the glass. S: Hop and malt aromas. T: Lightly sweet, traces of nuts, light toast, hint of chocolate – very faint. F: Medium body and carbonation. O: A decent, flavorful brown ale.
