Beautiful beer that let's some light through it's burnt orange color. Half inch head after poured into a pint glass that dissipated a minute or so after after forming. Very modest lacing left as the sips were taken. Floral hop aroma with citrus undertone and slight honey finish. I get a mild honey taste at the start that gets washed over by the hops and then a piney finish. On the lighter side of a medium body but a very pleasant mouthfeel. Solid overall from an unlikely source!

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a burnt orange with a subtle haze but still has nice clarity; fluffy off-white head that falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice blend of citrus and sweet malts. Lots of orange. Very subtle hints of onion when you dig deep. Hints of caramel as well. The flavors are bold with a subtle spiciness. The citrus flavors really comes through. More orange with some grapefruit in the mix. Some mild floral notes in the finish. Very solid malt backbone, but the hops aren't diminished at all. Solid bitterness. Alcohol goes unnoticed, although there's a subtle warmth in the finish. Mouthfeel is nice. It's medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's very fluffy, creamy and smooth.

This is a nice IPA. It might not be the flashiest and can come off as an "old school" example of the style, but it definitely works. Enjoyable stuff.

Overall very nice ipa. Great darker looking and a real sweet smell to it. Great apricot flavor to it without real fruit in it. Just like I like my ipas. Only got a single bottle but will be pick up more of this.

Cloudy, almost orange glow with kind of musty smell not unlike old gym socks. Has a fruity start and hoppy aftertaste that doesn't bite like some IPAs. Oy vey -- pretty interesting, unique taste...who knew these Jews could brew?

Pour: Bomber bottle into a tulip glass. Appearance: Dark orange to amber in color. Very hazy. No detectable carbonation. Pours out with a large white head. It reduces after the brew has a chance to settle. This then reveals a thin film on the surface with a thicker ring around the glass edge. Noticeable lacing present. Aroma: Dank and juicy hop notes. Lots of citrus. Orange and tangerine quality. Pronounced malty character as well. Taste: Really nice balance here between the hops and malt. Starts off with bold and juicy and somewhat chewy citrus flavors which is blended well with the mellowness of the malt. Not overwhelming and very smooth. Can detect some peppery/spice on the exhale. Aftertaste: Follows the taste initially but fades into more of the malty back end. Also reveals some slight bitterness and some onion like notes at the very end which lingers maybe more than it should. Notes: Very well crafted. Great balance and interplay between the hops and malt. Only thing holding this one back for me is the finish. Wish it were a bit more cleaner. Result/Rating: Very good. 4.31 out of 5.

Poured into a snifter. Moderately hazy amber orange with a modest white head. Decent lacing. Somewhat muted aromas - grapefruit, orange, some caramel. Taste was better - fairly bitter up front with nice citrus notes and some candied fruit. The malt is there but restrained. I suspect that this one was not fresh (cannot tell from the date code) and it was OK. Would like to try a fresh one for comparison.

Poured into New Belgium chalice from bottle. Nice 2 finger creamy head, nice lacing. Hazy dark golden in the glass. Smells of caramel and dank hops. Taste is a little sweet malt on the front, followed up by a muted hop bitterness. As for hop presence, hard to discern, I am picking up floral and grassy notes. Finishes with a semi sweet caramel finish, with a mild bitterness.

Strong citrus in the aroma and taste, with very noticeable hop oils. The malt body is a little sweeter than preferred, giving an English IPA balance but with American hops. Quite enjoyable overall.

From 12 oz bottle.

L - Deep golden color; thick, creamy persistent head is off-white.

S - Great fresh hop aromas of citrus and mango. Some bready malt in background.

T - Flavors are fresh and crisp: orange and grapefruit fade into lemongrass, bready malt way in the background.

F - Medium to thick body. Creamy, moderate carbonation. Strong hops bitterness and low alcohol burn. Finish is somewhat sweet.

O - A crisp, fresh , citrusy IPA. A bit thick on body and slightly cloying finish are only drawbacks for me.

Glorious layers of hops upon hops. Manna from heaven indeed. Certainly within IPA range but also very well-balanced. This one is worth going after. Call me a fan. L'chaim!

12oz bottle served in a snifter. 1335A5 is stamped near the neck. This may be a very old beer, if that's a julian date.

Pours clear amber with a smallish head and not much carbonation. Smell is old hops -- musty hay.

Taste is better -- a little brighter citrus and pine, moderate malt. Slight lemony twist.

Mouthfeel is smooth and slick. Overall, not a bad beer.

Poured from a bottle. Pours an orangey gold with a misshapen foamy head. The smell is not strong, but I get notes of pine and lemon. I really enjoyed the taste of this beer. Starts off with bready malt notes, followed by some pine and lemon from the hops. Only a little lingering bitterness, well balanced by the malt flavors. Feel is medium - starts off feeling pretty full bodied with the malt flavors, then feels lighter when the hop flavors come in. Overall, I found this beer very enjoyable. Was expecting a happier beer, but happy to find it more balanced.

Looks great - poured from a 12oz bottle to a spiegelau IPA glass. Slightly opaque amber - frothy white head forms and has very nice retention. Some moderate lacing too - looks really nice.

Nose is okay - some tropical and pine notes, citrus and bittering hops all come through. Seems nice.

Flavor is a big letdown. None of the characteristics apparent in the nose are there on the palate. It's a fine, medium bodied IPA, but aside from some piney/resiny flavors there is nothing else going on. Really a letdown.

Feel is fine. Nothing really wrong, decent body, nice drying finish but it's a very underwhelming profile. It was free but I wouldn't seek it out again.

Looks like that malt heavy appearance (plus thats how this brewery always rolls, so expectations + appearance = conclusion). Dark orange. Aroma sure enough was lacking hops.

They should have called this brown malt manna because the hops sure enough aren't here. Still bitter though. This is a joke for a hoppy ipa. I guess if you're into brown/English ipas, you might dig it. At least there are no off flavors.

Earthy, piney, good hoppy flavor. Originally bought because I like the funny label, but this is a good beer. Medium bitterness and smells like the woods

A - Medium orange/gold color with a super thin white lacing ring.

S - Spicy citrus and crackery malt. Nose is weak.

T - Citrus and spicy - lemon, apricot, and a resiny lingering finish.

M - Medium body with a very gentle carbonation texture.

O - This is a very solid IPA. Thumbs up!

Poured on draft in to an Irish pint glass.

A: Pours a full amber with a frothy off-white head that maintains and laces well.

S: Grassy and resinous with a little grapefruit on the end.

T: Bright, grassy hops with a pleasant bitterness. Light notes of dry apricot and a pleasant hop bitterness settles on the palate.

M: Medium body with light carbonation that scrubs the palate well.

O: An enjoyable IPA, even for a non-IPA drinker such as myself. This one is very pleasant and not too bitter.

Pretty awesomely aggressive IPA. This is all about the hops, several different varieties dancing on the tongue. Floral, fruity, piney, with just enough malt to back it up and still let the hops shine. There is so much hop goodness here it almost tingles your tongue a little bit with all the aggressive flavors.

Very toasty malt, and caramel notes in aroma. This may be aged a lot. Hint of fruity hops.

Flavor is very malty, with herbal and earthy hop notes. Pretty sure this is old. Bitter finish. Too bitter for my liking.
