Yet another beer from my vacation in Germany, the stash is getting low... :( Better start planning my next trip :)

Pours a wonderfull medium to light brown in the pils/hefe glass. Lots of head and lots of lacing.

Great aroma of continental malts and a delicate fresh lager smell as well, something you almost forget to appreciate when in Germany. Flavor is a big malty slap in the face without being cloyingly sweet. A delicate and shy flavor of darker malts. The hop presence is just right to balance the solid malt backbone.

I'd drink about a billion of these... can't wait to go back.

Poured into a Pilsner glass from a .5L bottle.

Pours a medium brown with a thick white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Minimal lacing. Smell is grassy, herbal hops and sweet roasted malt. Flavor is very malt forward with just a bit of hop bitterness. A bit on the sweet side. Body is medium with low carbonation. Overall, a decent dunkel, but a bit too sweet.

500ml bottle served in a nonic pint. Bottle brought to me by a friend who stayed in Germany for a while. Date on the label is 17.04.2018.

Pours a very dark nut-brown, not opaque. Maybe the color of coke after you add a bunch of whiskey to it. Head is small and pale, moderate to low carbonation. Smell is roasty and malty and pleasant. Maybe a tad sweet.

Taste is nice, not overpowering. A bit of nuttiness, a bit of toastiness, a bit of tea. Sweetness from the aroma is there, but toned down and balanced pretty well.

Mouthfeel is smooth, medium body. Overall, nice beer -- very enjoyable.
