***They've moved to 114 All Saints, right next to the Lounge***

Fermentation Market's new location next to the Lounge is a big improvement over the old place. The space is much nicer, and they can keep regular hours now.

The atmosphere is really nice; it has a real hunting lodge vibe to it. Also, they use mostly LED lighting and any Compact Fluorescents they do have are shielded. They have two side rooms they use for tastings and beer club dinners, which is nice.

Quality and selection are great, especially for Tallahassee. Last time I was i there, they had Mikkeller Speyside BA Texas Ranger, DFH 120, Oud Beersel Kriek Mariage Parfait, Hoppin Frog BA Boris, Rodenbach 2009 Vintage, Achel Extra, and some other gems. They also have some vintage beers on sale right now they got from a warehouse that was closing down (2009 Ten Fidy for $2.50/can, 2009 Mephistopheles at $3/bottle, Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary varieties at $5.50/bomber, and Lindemans Cassis at $5/750ml).

Service was phenomenal, though I've heard it can depend on who's in there. The guy working was very helpful with suggestions and recommendations based on what I told him I liked -- definitely a beer geek. When I asked him if they had any Wake n Bake left, he told me they were out but then recommended two other competitors shops he knew still had it.

Selection was very good, though they tend to run through the top stuff pretty quickly, so it can be hit or miss on rare beers depending on when you come in (they're pretty good about posting about new beers on Facebook). Sometimes they seem to run low on CCB stuff, but that's more of a Tallahassee problem.

Overall, a great addition to the Tallahassee craft beer scene.

This is a real gem of Tallahassee. Originally located in a nearby storefront, the store is now located next to its bar of operation (fermentation lounge). They have a high selection of VERY high quality beer and have a selection of beers that are quite hard to find anywhere else.

you could pick a beer at random here and odds are it would end up being amazing in its own way. that's how high quality their section is.

I took off points because they do not sell other varityies of alcohol and do have limited space (which limits the variety they can offer)

its staff is excellent, offering great advice on what kind of beer you might want to buy. they have never steared me wrong.

The price is a funny point. at some points they are fairly pricey, and at others they have amazing deals. If you look around, you can dig up a hell of a deal here.

Great store, great place, and next to a great bar. I just wish it was closer to my apartment.
