Ok, this is my first review because i feel soooo strongly about this place. I really respect the below BAs opinions of other places but, I would have to say he has got this one wrong. First of all, they had beers on the beer menu that have not been on tap, the waitress stated "since they opened". Second, the prices on the beer menu do not match what they charge. I had a Lake Erie Monster that the menu states $5 and the charged me $6. That is just wrong. As for the food, we had chip, salsa, and tacos. Chips where ordinary to say the least. The salsa was from a jar (prob pase) and the tacos... well, I could make better and I am not that good of a cook. The waitress was unknowlegable about beer, she was pushing the Blue Moon.... Come ON. She was also rushing us. This place needs alot of work and attention to details. I would not visit again.

On a side note, I went to Chicago Street right after to feel better about my night.

This place just opened a few months ago and I have already been there a half dozen times. It is located in a good location right on RT 53 in downtown Romeoville, plus it is convenient to I-55, I-355 and Weber Road. There is a good sized parking lot so except for the absolute busiest times, that should not be an issue.

The inside was just remodeled prior to opening, so it is pretty nice. Actually it is really nice, but for those in search of an old bar with character, this is a little lean on that.

The best thing about this place is that they take beer very seriously. The brewerania/decorations throughout the place all seem to be beer-themed (but not your average BMC distributor give-away crap).

There are 20 taps, and on the multiple visits I have been there the least crafty taps were Guinness and Blue Moon...the other 18 taps were all solid good beer choices. They tend to lean toward US craft breweries, with emphasis on the Midwest (Bells, Great Lakes, Goose Island, Two Brothers, Founders, Flossmoor Station, New Holland, etc). They have also had offerings from Allagash, Stone, Breckenridge, Left Hand, Great Divide, etc. The one import that I have seen, besides Guinness, is Delirium Tremens.

Beer prices are all very fair for the area ($4 - $5 for most). When I asked the bartender one night how the place was doing she said its doing well, despite the learning curve for macro drinkers. Most are shocked that the place only has Miller Lite in bottles...and the bartenders claim it will always be that way.

The food is above-average pub grub and pretty tasty. I really like the burgers, and the chicken strips are delicious.

All in all this place is a sorely needed craft beer destination where there was not one before. If you live in the area, your only options used to be Gordon Biersch in Bolingbrook, Chicago Street Pub down in Joliet, Finnegan's out in Plainfield, or Rock Bottom Orland Park. Now that giant wasteland in between all those places is filled by Stone City Saloon and I am thrilled!
