Pours a light strawberry color, fizzy head that fades quickly. Has a nice strawberry aroma with slight funk. Typical spontaneous farmhouse ale tart /funky flavor, really nice tart cherry and strawberry flavor, light on the raspberry flavor. Tart and tangy, a little sour, acidity makes my mouth water. Carbonation is appropriate. Overall a very nicely crafted beer.

Tart cherry, raspberry fruit leather, bright acidity, strawberry jam, vanilla, spicy funkiness, earthy, oak, sweet tarts. Fairly sour and plenty of under ripe berry notes, funky and complex, zippy carbonation and quite lite - delicious!

Too sour for my own liking. Its not a bad beer - very smooth and drinkable, just too tart and not as enjoyable as many of the other offerings from Oxbow.

Appearance: Pours an orange-tinted strawberry color but no matter how hard the pour, no head is raised; leggy, however, with dots of lace

Smell: Sweet and tart berry tones with an oaky element

Taste: Strawberry, cherry and raspberry flavors intermingle with a growing tartness to contrast the sweet fruit; the oak emerges, in the middle, and dries out the flavors somewhat in the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with no carbonation

Overall: Despite the lack of carbonation, the flavors here are delicious and remind me of some of the great fruit beers from New Glarus

500 ml. bottle
Bottled: October, 2018
Production time: 32 months.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields small head with scant lacing. Head dissipates down to a thin ring in a minute over a dark pink body. Nose of raspberries foremost, followed by strawberries and slight cherries. Taste of tart raspberries, strawberries, and cherries; in that order, with the cherries coming forward midway through to a finish of tart cherries. Good feel and overall, a tad unbalanced, but still a tasty offering from Oxbow. Cheers!

Beautiful red color and a strong bouquet with upfront Raspberry and back end strawberry.
Unfortunately there is some disjointed in flavor. I feel as though it may just be the bottle i have or that i am used to drinking mix fermintation beers are aging for a while. Acidity it fresh and forward which i feel with age will mellow. There is a hint of a infected off flavor at the end but disappeared quickly.
Overall i would definitely try this beer again and buy some to age as well.

Enjoyed at the Armsby Abbey. Poured into a tulip.

A - Poured a hazy pinkish strawberry hue with a thin white head that fades to leave thin wisps and a nice halo.

S - Aromas of nice cherries, almost kriek like, light strawberry notes with some faint raspberries. Nicely floral too.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Very nice cherry notes, sweet and lightly sour. Raspberry lends some nice tartness too along with faint funk. The strawberry is quite nice, floral, lightly sweet. Some nice oak and vanilla, good tart finish.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp. Real nice clean, tart finish that is slightly flemmy.

O - Overall this beer was really really tasty. Strawberry is a tough flavour to get across and this one does so very nicely. The oak and vanilla really pop too. All around incredible wild.
