Can. Weirdly almost copper. Maybe that's the style. I was expecting more like Bitburger. Lasting head abd lace. Beautiful beer. Grassy honey malty bready aroma with emphasis on the malt. Very toasty grainy and fairly sweet with even some hint of caramel. Fairly assertive herbal hoppy finish. Medium light body pleasant high-carbo texture help the hops balance the sweetness. Not what I expected, but tasty and extremely well made.

Had on tap. Didn't realize the ranking for the style when we had it, but very much enjoyed, worthy of the ranking. Mostly clear amber brown body pour with a white head. Bready nose with doughy malt with a hint of toasted caramel, with earthy and grassy hops. The same elements are in the taste, but balance between the malt and hop here are really impressive, some light yeasty bread tones meld in the middle. Feel is more malty and smooth, medium bodied but full on the palate, somewhat crisp. The wife liked it.

A: Pours a relatively clear medium to dark honey orange in color with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate amber + burnt orange + dark golden yellow + bright orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a couple of medium sized patches of thick film covering as little more than 50% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of bready + doughy + caramel + lightly toasted malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of spicy + grassy + herbal hops. Moderate aromas of lager yeast.

T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of bready + doughy + caramel + lightly toasted malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of lager yeast. Finally there is a just shy of moderate flavor of spicy + grassy + herbal hops which impart a light to moderate amount of bitterness which fades away fairly slowly leaving a relatively clean finish.

M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Lightly crisp, lightly soft upfront with a relatively clean finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol but lacks that real refreshingly crisp mouthfeel I want in my lagers. Enjoyable traditional European malt + hop flavors and aromas.

Canned 2021/01/15
Pours a large frothy thick 1.5 finger head with great retention, whispy lacing, mostly clear amber to honey orange color

Nose brings some doughy malt, very doughy-like with some pilsner grainy malt, fair floral grassy hop, a little lemongrass note, yeasty dough

Taste brings soft lager with lots of hops, floral grassy slight herbal hops, more lemongrass as well, a bit of citrus zest, mild doughy malt, a bit of cereal grain pilsner, yeasty bread dough notes, med bitterness, a hint of perfumey smooth alcohol, mild sticky finish, a bit more cereal grain, med to higher bitterness that gets a tad spicy

Mouth is med to fuller bod but still soft like a lager, med-higher frothy carb

Overall solid beer, nice big hop and malt presence, strong body with enough lager softness, the yeasty character gets a little bit much on the nose, but otherwise it's nice

Canned on date stamped on bottom of can is not decipherable. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Slightly hazy light amber with 2-3 fingers of oatmeal colored head with good retention and copious, sticky lacing.

S: Very evenly matched spicy, menthol-like hop and light caramel and grassy malty nose.

T: Flavor is very clean but the malt character is somewhat muddled with soft caramel and cereal grainy qualities with a toffee aftertaste. The hops are very spicy and minty. Ester-free and no off-flavors. Alcohol provides some light cherry flavor.

M: Very smooth with medium body and carbonation. Very drinkable.

O: An interesting entry from Oxbow and I am glad they are increasing their lager footprint.
