This has a great hop tease....you can smell it and you get the freshness of the hops but then it just lingers. Not too intense on any level. Hint of sour and such a beautiful beer for summertime. Very unique while at the same time maintaining the body and style of a Saison.

Growler enjoyed over the weekend in Bar Harbor while camping. Reviewed from notes taken.

A- Appropriately poured from the Oxbow growler into the Oxbow snifter/tulip glass. Golden light orange body with some natural haziness to it. Creamy white head a few fingers high with decent retention. Lots of lace clouds around the glass.

S- Super juicy hops. A lot of fruit feel with both citrus and tropical varieties coming to mind. Reminds me of melons, mango, peach, passion fruit and orange zest. A ton of hop aroma and extremely inviting.

T- Like the aroma, hop flavors are big but maybe just a bit less dominant here. Juicy tropical fruits, citrus zest, spicy and grassy flavors come to mind; some could be from both the hops and yeast strain. The farmhouse yeast makes an appearance here that the hops mostly masked in the aroma. Some light fresh cracked grain and sweetness from the malts.

MF- Light bodied but a nice silky, foamy texture with any agitation. Moderately high carbonation and it finishes with a medium bitterness.

One thing I enjoy about this beer is the use of hops to get an amazing aroma and flavor from them, almost at an IPA level. I also enjoy how the hops seem to blend in with the yeast and everything comes together into one great taste. Super drinkable and flavorful, a new favorite.

A 16 oz. pour at the Little Tap House on 7/20/15. Light, cloudy. Smells like a Saison, but drinks much lighter. Nice citrus notes and light bitter finish. I typically don't care for Saisons, but I enjoyed its much more subdued characteristics. Great summer beer.

From 750 ml "Fresh Draft Beer" bottle purchased today at Portland tasting room. Paper tag on bottle stamped May 11, 2016 (three weeks and 2 days from today)--a drink by date?
Pours slightly cloudy pale blond color. Small head lingers.
Light smell of earthy fruit.
Taste is very balanced, fruit, hops, slightly sour.
Feel is clean with noticeable fizz.
Overall a well-balanced farmhouse.
