I wasn't looking forward to this one, think the meagre 4.8% was putting me off.

It pours a hazy witt bier appearance with no head, not overly appealing.

Aroma is better, plenty of hops and malty, which is good.

The taste is also nice, the malty taste really is at odds with a blanche, I was expecting a citrus hit, but no.

Feel is good, smooth and refreshing. A little artificial aftertaste but nothing offensive.

Overall, surprisingly good, would be a great beer if they could sort the fermentation out and give it a few more % of guts.....worth a try, the current 3.2% average score is a tad harsh.

Not an extraordinary pale, this was in a variety sixer. Nothing fancy about it, drinking it nonetheless and for a French beer there is not complaint...

A: pale yellow colour; clear, no head

S: sweet lemon; very one-sided, some hops

T: very little there; slight malts, bitter finish

M: little body, too flat, not ^pleasant

O: not a disgusting beer, just nothing attractive about it. I won't have this one again

A rather pale and hazy beer. Not extremely hazy as there was not all that much yeast in the bottle. White head that fizzes away because the glass was wet (no problem for this style if you ask me).

Smell is of citrus and citrus peel, yeastiness and light malts.
Some clove and other spices.

The taste follow the nose initially, light citrus, then the malt becomes quite dominant on the finish.

The mouthfeel is thin and it has lots and lots of carbonation.

Overall a decent witbier.

I looked at the other reactions as well and they where not so positive. Maybe the taste of my beer was better because I left it on the shelf for about a year.

A - A pale yellow color with a white head that retracts very quickly, a few carbonation bubbles are running to the top.

S - Citrus and yeast, inviting you to take a sip right away. Very nice indeed.

T - A nice sweet and bitter beer, slughtly sour with a good hind of citrus (lemon).

M - Medium to high carbonation with a dry bitter finish.

O - Much better than expected from a French beer. I liked it more than a Hoegaarden. Much easier to drink.

12oz Bottle

Appearance - Hazy light gold colour with an above average size frothy and fizzy white coloured head. I can't make out much carbonation due to the haziness and there isn't much lacing. The head lasted for only 3 minutes.

Smell – breads/grains, cloves, lemons

Taste & Mouth - The beer comes across as thin and there is a lot of carbonation. I can taste lots of lemon mixed with breads/grains and some cloves. The beer finishes with a lemony and bready aftertaste.

Overall – A decent serviceable wit beer that doesn’t really stand out in any way. Still worth a try however.

Keep seeing this one at the SAQ but never picked it up because I'm just not feeling it. Even with the nice label.

A- Very clear, only a slight haze to this golden fizzy liquid. Some white head that receded to a 1mm uniform layer. A bit light lager like.

S- Slight metallic pineapple. I'll wait for it to warm up some before I call this one ordinary. Apricot. Warmer now, with alcohol caramel and vanilla coming out.

T- Light banana with a boiled green vegetable finish. Not very good. Not bad though.

M- Full, dry, medium carbonation.

D- Okay. A nice drink but 'm not craving my next sip.

A good choice if it was cheaper but there's tons of other better things to drink.

Beer bottle (33cl.), tasted in 2000.

Appearance : pale and very clear color. with white foam head (not persistent).
Smell : sweet aromas (but w/o citrus note like a white).
Taste and mouthfeel : sweet, little bitterness and lightness.
Dronkability : an average beer in the style Belgian witbier.

This beer is brewed like a real belgian witbier. Everything is on the right place, color is spot on, a light yellow beer with a stable white head and sufficient carbonation.
Smell was delicious, citric and phenolic, with a typical yeastiness. I can smell something what we call in Holland vlierbloesem, a flowery and aromatic taste.
Taste is slightly bitter with some grains, especially wheat. Again the flowery taste. The yeast appears to be a bit less outspoken than in a typical belgian witbier. There is no trace of any acidity. Body is pretty full. Good witbier!

750 ml corked bottle, bought in France. ABV is 4.8%. Pale straw coloured, a faint haziness, large white head. Moderate carbonation in the glass. Very nice aroma of yeast, herbs and spices, hints of oak and alcohol. Very refreshing flavour, mild spices (coriander), light bodied. Pleasant beer.

Yellow cloudy colour; white head, quite compact, and with average persistence,
The smell is essentially citric. The spices: pepper, orange peel, fennel.
The taste is less spiced, more weak; too frizzy. Anyway, citric again, orange, maybe some dusty pepper.
Medium-light body, aftertaste of pepper and fennel, and less noticeable, citric.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow colored beer with a medium head with medium retention. Carbonation is bit weak and body is clear and leaning on the thin side. Aroma is a bit weak with some citrus flavour coming out of my glass. Taste is also a bit weak with some citrus flavour and a very weak wheat taste. A bit too bland and watery for my taste.
