22 ounce bottle - Empire Package Store in Atlanta, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a lightly hazed, reddish-amber body with an inch of off-white froth. Small amount of lacing.
Smell: Toasty pale maltiness dunked in roasted coffee chased by the green, resiny hops smelling of oily, moist citrus peels.
Taste: Pale malts, moderately toasted grains and a lightly sweet thin glaze of blonde caramel. Juicy, citric, resinous piney hops with a robust amount of accruing bitterness. You've got a pleasing coffee addition, though, greedy me, I'd hoped for a bit more. Always more, with me (well, at least when it comes to coffee). A little more caramel, but, like the opening, it's pretty subtle. Slight warming alcohol. Bitterish, citrusy, coffee-toned finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. Some thickness to the mouthfeel.
Overall: Might've preferred a bit more coffee in the final flavor, but, still an enjoyable beer.

This beer was a very pleasant surprise, and I'd like to see other brewers take a stab at a coffee IPA.
I'm a fan of coffee based stouts, but I was unsure how a coffee profile would mix the piney hoppy citrusy-ness of an IPA. The combination actually works very well. You get the light bitterness of the hops blended with a coffee bitterness, but still with that nutty coffee flavor. It's a very nice balance actually. The mouthfeel was also very light.
