22oz bottle poured into a Night Shift Barrel Society teku glass.
A - Pours a crystal clear orange tinted golden color with a thick two fingers of fluffy white head that leaves lots of webby lacing on the glass.
S - Slight traces of funk in the nose, plenty of Belgian yeastiness that gives an overall spicy impression. The pears used in this give a massive aroma and really stand out above the other aromas.
T - Quite noticeable juicy pear up front that starts a bit sweet and then dries out considerably towards the swallow. Alcoholic booziness blends with the pear nicely and sits above the grainy base and slight hop bitterness.
M - A bit on the thin side of medium bodied, ample prickly carbonation, slight alcohol warmth. Sweet to start and plenty of intense pear that transitions to a grainy middle that dries out and picks up some of the hop bitterness and finishing with an alcohol impression on the exhale.
O - I think this might be my first pear beer. I have to say that the pear works quite well. Really works alongside the Belgain yeast esters very nicely adding some depth and complexity. Interesting beer for sure. Glad to have tried it.

look: quite clear, peachy-golden. white fluffy head on the pour that receded to a little more than film.
smell: Pretty subtle. Pear is most prominent with some yeasty notes and a hint of spice.
taste: much like the nose, but really comes together nicely, a little more spice in the finish than expected and well balanced with a nice creaminess.

Very tasty brew. Slightly on the sweet side for the style, but with a luscious creaminess and a depth of flavor that is really nice. A very nice surprise.

Appearance: Clear light yellow-orange with a white cap that, while thin, has great lasting power and lacing.
Aroma/Flavor: Big pear character up front, sweet belgian yeast character. Light grainy malts. Touch of booze.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light bodied with a touch of booze.

Bottle from Matlitude. Pours transparent gold with white head -- the color of apple juice. Aroma of pears, hops, yeast and spices. Taste is complex, with flavors of honey, pear, banana and booze. A tangy and sweet aftertaste. Not too shabby. Very drinkable.
