Notes:
Overnight Celebrity is an 11.5% ABV imperial porter aged in maple bourbon barrels with espresso beans and coconut. With aromas of macadamia nut and dark malt on the nose, this beer hides its alcohol content well. The sweetness of the maple syrup stands up to strong coffee flavors, while subtle coconut notes blend well with the vanilla and oak characteristics of the maple bourbon barrels.

Look: very dark brown. Big mocha head on the pour with messy, clingy lacing.
Smell: roasty maple. Hints of coconut.
Taste: much like the nose. Hint of bitterness in the finish cut by the maple.

This is a porter that drinks like a stout. The flavors are complex and outstanding. The maple is perfect, not too much, not too sweet, and absolutely natural in taste. All the flavors meld, but also shine through at various points of the sip through the swallow. Had a friend that does not like beer and he loved it and even ordered a second. Another has also refused to even taste a stout, but had two also. World class example of the style.

Dark and opaque brownish-black body topped with a thick, sculpted, creamy tan head; broken rings of foam and some sheeting along the glass. Muted dark roast smell; sweet with a milk chocolate quality and a very mild coffee or mocha presence. Outstanding tastes; sweet coconut and milk chocolate; some roasted grain chair lurking below the sweetness; a touch of booziness appears near the finish; minor coffee bitterness rounds things out. Heavy body; dense and silky; oily; coats the palate with sludgy, sweet richness, barely broken up by a touch of alcohol heat.
This beer exudes depth and complexity with every sip. It slips up some with the aroma, but everything else comes across in a most alluring manner. A very, very fine dark ale.

Pours dark brown with a finger of rocky beige head.
Nose is oak barrel, brown sugar, malt, mild hints of coffee.
Taste is big smoky malt and roasty coffee. Reminiscent of a campfire. Some barrel presence with a touch of sweetness. Quite a bit of acidity that took me by surprise.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with very little to no carbonation.
Overall a nice brew. A little heavy of the smokiness. If thats your thing you'll enjoy this one.

Appearance - The beer poured a brownish-black color with a light tan head.
Smell - Maple and boozy malts radiate from the glass.
Taste - Initially, I am impressed by how smooth this beer is. Maple, malts, and booze jump out in the nose. What struck me most was the sweet caramel. The aftertaste continues the sweet booziness.
Mouthfeel - Although the beer is a little thin, the sweetness coats nicely.
Mouthfeel - I have many of Monday Night’s barrel age projects, but this one is top-notch.

Poured into a Teku. Nice looking stout with a medium sized tan head. Decent retention. The aroma was complex. Faint bourbon, coconut, maple, and chocolate; not much coffee. The espresso was definitely there on the taste, along with coconut and barrel. The maple was there but very restrained, which was nice. The flavors melded nicely into a gentle warming on the finish. This was outstanding.

500mL bottle acquired at the brewey. Released November 2018. Served in a Monday Night snifter. Enjoyed 12/17/18.
Pours black with a tall, rocky cap of mocha foam. The head shrinks to a thin haze and narrow collar before eventually fading completely other than a few wisps of lace from the initial head.
Sweet, welcoming aromas of creamed coffee, toasted coconut, bourbon and brown sugar.
Flavors are an abundantly sweet mixture of maple bourbon, toasted coconut, dark roast coffee, cocoa, brown sugar, cooked caramel, vague wet wood and booze-glazed fudge.
Smooth, slick medium feel with light carbonation. The aftertaste is like maple bourbon spiked coconut coffee.
Another quality release from Monday Night’s Garage. Overnight Celebrity dresses up the ubiquitous barrel aged coffee stout with maple and coconut sweetness.
