Notes: An easy-sipping tart ale, we added black currants and boysenberries to make this a refreshing respite after a long day. And did we mention it's red?

Gorgeous plum body with huge pink head.

Soft, tart nose of cranberries, red berries, and a little funk.

Unfortunately there’s almost nothing in the tongue. Faints hints of the aroma notes, with some grape personality, but it’s shockingly taste-neutral and lacking. Certainly easy to drink and quite refreshing, but there’s just not much there.

Feel is quite wonderful, soft and silky, and highly carbonated.

Appearance: Pours jewel-toned, purple-reddish-pinky hue with a quickly disintegrating, light pink head. Now here's a purple drank we can stand to abuse. Just a little, at least.

Smell: Floral, fruity berry aroma coming across expectantly tangy and tart-smelling.

Taste: Tart, puckering pop, initially, though some slight, light sweetness is sensed. Fruity berries make up the bulk and breadth of the flavor, not like it's a big surprise, tasting a bit floral and soundly tangy. Very, very little tannic kiss. A bit of a lactic tone nearing the tangy, fruity finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: Not really sure about the term "session sour," as I'd be hard pressed to name more than a couple that go too far beyond 5%.
