L: Pours out a clear pale gold. Streams of rising bubbles. Once the sediment is added, it's a hazy pale gold, with a thin, sticky bone white head that dies away fairly fast, but leaves splotchy lacing. Looks like champagne with a head.

S: Massive lactic tartness with dry, vinous qualities. Huge white grape, green apple skin, lemon peel. There's also just a touch of cracker, wheat, honey, and straw. Very much white wine, champagne-like.

T: More mild, but still tart and fruity. Green apples, but also more like red apples. More white and green grape with some lemon. In the middle, there's cracker, honey, straw, wheat, and general graininess. A nice kiss of light sweetness. There's a green apple candy and white wine note. Reminds one so much of champagne or carbonated apple juice.

F: Very light, kinda watery, but nice bubbly carbonation. Super refreshing.

O: A very nice surprise. The aroma is better than the taste, but it's still great. It's like champagne and carbonated apple juice as a crisp summer refresher. Very enjoyable.

Clear, pale, white froth of course. Light fruits such as apricot and pear to the nose. Faintly note of straw and green apple. Crisp with subtle notes of over ripened fruit and a squirt of fruit juice to finish. Light through and through. Fully drinkable, but doesn't really put the Berliner in Berliner Weisse.

$ 3.54 (including tax)/16.9 oz bottle ($ 0.209/oz) at Fairgrounds Wine & Spirits, Danbury, CT
Bottle MFG0959051315 at 42 degrees into a hand washed and dried JK snifter
Aroma – weak, sour
Head small (Maximum two cm, aggressive pour), white, frothy/fizzy, quickly diminishing to an irregular two to three mm ring and partial layer
Lacing - none
Body light yellow, clear, effervescent, sediment in bottle (Unfiltered)
Flavor – lightly sour, hint of disulfide (noticeable but not overpowering); no malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate – light, watery, lively carbonation

A decent Berlinerweisse but I would have preferred it to be fresher. Still, not too shabby.

Thanks to CJTman for this bottle, popped open after visiting a friend’s house to wash the taste of all those stouts out of my mouth. Damn malts. 500ML bottle.

The pour is clouded lemonade with carbonation that vanishes in the bat of an eye. Smells like lemon sulfur, like leaning in too close during a conversation with Satan on a porch in an Atlanta summer. I like it.

Beliner Lager is a timid beer. Up front there is lemon, citrus, severely mild tartness that there should be another word for, lightly acidic. All very gentle, with the only distinctive thing being the wheat chaff that seizes the mid-palate & runs through the finish. A bit watery, though one could drink a lot of this. I’m not sure why you’d want to, but you could.

So dull I’ve nodded off twice while looking at it. There’s just nothing interesting about this beer at all. Not bad, but defines mediocre.

from a bottle to a pint tulip
look; golden yellow straw with a hint of cloudiness and plenty of bubbles, 1/4" white foamy head that thins to a covering, a little lacing
smell; lemon cookie, yeast, hint of funk, very mild, subtle
taste; nice delicate light malt, hint of lemon and yeast, mildly sour finish
feel; crisp clean refreshing light bodied, nicely carbonated, maybe more than needed
overall; a very enjoyable berliner-ish lager, light but nicely balanced with subtle, clean flavors.

Thanks Kegatron for the share. 500ml bottle poured into a snifter. The brew appears a very pale, hazy yellow color with a white cap.

This smells sulfuric with a hint of greek yogurt and slightly grassy to cheesy qualities. I think it misses the mark a little as it really doesnt have much lactic character and is lacking in the nose.

It tastes cheesy and sulfuric with mild funky yogurt and a grassy to earthy finish. This is hardly tart and more centric to wheat flavoring instead of lactic tartness I expect in a berliner.

This is light in body and midestly carbonated. The faint tartness this displays imparts more of a palate cleansing role than being the center stage character like most berliners.
