The beer poured black with a small tan head. There was a bit of lace.
Aroma: booze, graham cracker, chocolate, and coffee.
The taste improved slightly on the aroma. Bourbon, graham cracker to begin with, then sweet chocolate and coffee.
Medium-bodied, easy-drinking.

Notes of graham cracker, toasted coconut, cinnamon, ginger, and vanilla. Mild bourbon Integrated well throughout. Like the alcoholic version of a blended bowl of Golden Grahams with milk. Very nice.

Since this is a huge beer, I opted for a snifter for this bad boy.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black in the body. Nice looking eggshell white foamy head about a finger's worth sat atop and slid off at a decent pace. Some lace ran here and there.
The aroma seemed to practically perfect an absolutely stunningly wonderful bourbon woody sweet and spiciness rolling into some sweet graham cracker and touches of vanilla creamy to subtle bean-like character. Subtle milk and dark chocolate.
The flavor is stellar! It takes the graham cracker sweetness to melt on into the bourbon spice and barrel sweetness. Milk chocolate and dark chocolate follow in exceptionally. Mild sticky chocolate and graham cracker-like aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. ABV seemed fairly close to what was projected.
Overall, an absolutely wonderful barrel aged Baltic Porter with a little bit of Jack's Abby creativity. The level of graham cracker is phenomenal!

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small foamy head, and a little bit of lacing.

I don't get a ton of barrel on the nose, but the aroma is still great. There's a nice nutty aroma, with lots of chocolate, roasted malt, and of course- graham crackers.

The nutty aroma carries over, and is surprising and pleasant- sort of a walnut and almond taste, with a sweet graham flavor, and lots of melted milk chocolate flavors. There's just a hint of bourbon, but no oak or oak-derived flavors that I can discern. This is one of the best tasting Framinghammer variants I've had in a while now.

This creamy and chewy, but not super thick, with a good level of carbonation.

I really enjoyed this- it's just a super pleasant, enjoyable, and tasty beer all around.

Poured from a 16.9 oz bottle into a tulip glass.

Pours a near pitch black color with a finger of creamy tan head. The head hangs around for a while, leaving a ring of lacing before settling into a film.

The aroma brings notes of graham crackers, coconut, fudge and bourbon with subtle notes of oak and vanilla on the back end.

The flavor has graham crackers, chocolate fudge, and light cinnamon, followed by marshmallows, coconut, almonds and roasted malts. Finishes with a wave of bourbon and vanilla.

The feel is medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Fluffy and creamy and exceptionally smooth. Alcohol is present but only just.

Overall, a fantastic Baltic porter that's incredibly sweet but absolutely delicious. It's a dessert in a glass.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short tan head that left wispy lacing on the surface.
S: Light aromas of graham crackers and bourbon are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of graham crackers and chocolate malts along with notes of bourbon and lactose.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: In some aspects, this beer tastes like liquid s'mores and has lots of graham cracker flavors to pair with chocolate and bourbon. It manages to hide its alcohol very well and is very drinkable.

The beer pours a dark brown with a medium off white head. It has medium low carbonation. The beer smells of cinnamon, nutmeg, graham crackers, vanilla, and raisins. It tastes cinnamon, nutmeg, graham crackers, vanilla, raisins, and bourbon. The feel is medium light. A great barrel aged porter from Jack’s Abbey, reminds me of Christmas.

Whoa nelly - A 12% ABV porter. No date, but seems like it was released this spring. 500 mL bottle into Belgian ale glass and allowed to warm for a while.

L: Initial 2+ finger light tan head but it worked itself down to a thin cap and ring with very minimal lacing. Beer is dark brown or black.

S: Mmmmm graham crackers. Very nice. Vanilla, coffee, roasted malts. Excellent.

T: Still lots of graham cracker with coffee, roasted malts, and vanilla. A very slightly bitter finish to counter the graham cracker taste.

F: Medium bodied, pretty light for the style and ABV, light carbonation. Good construction and balance, Quite drinkable, not much alcohol warming at all.

O: Really good variant.

Pours pitch black color with 1 finger tan foamy head that faded slowly and left minimal spotty lacing, with most of the lacing sliding back down into the brew.

Smells graham crackers, toffee, syrup, brown sugar, roasted grains, cocoa, a nutty candy bar and bourbon. It comes off as sweet and malty at first, but more complexities come out and it does actually emulate a graham cracker.

Tastes has the sweetness of coconut, vanilla and zesty citrus mixed in with the graham cracker, toffee, syrup, molasses, brown sugar, roasted grains, cocoa, a nutty candy bar and bourbon. Bitter dark chocolate and hints of almond cookies wrap up the flavor profile, with trailing oaky and bourbon notes. That is an impressive porter that hides the ABV and goes down easier than it should, like a dessert beer.

Appearance – Two finger head on a clear dark brown body.

Aroma – Light roasted malt and graham crackers.

Taste – Roasted malt, a little coffee, definite graham crackers, hints of booze and oak.

Mouthfeel – A little thick, enough to support the flavors.

Overall – Very well done and the barrel aging complemented without taking over.

Big notes of graham cracker, creamy vanilla, and charred bourbon barrel highlight a bold nose. The mouth continues these trends, albeit in a more muted fashion tempered by a malty bitterness, as well as some cloyingly sweet elements here and there. Overall, a solid and creative take on a dessert porter, if not one which takes takes full advantage of its barrel-aged billing.

Pours a dark mocha 1 finger creamy head that fades at a med pace, a little lacing, pitch black beer

Nose is really interesting, a lot going on, lots of dark chocolate, fudge, tons of caramel, cocoa dust, plenty of graham cracker like aromas, very nutty, a touch of cinnamon like spice aroma, toffee, nougat and marshmallow, mild bourbon and vanilla barrel

Taste brings lots of the same, plenty of milk chocolate, a ton of coconut surprisingly, graham cracker notes especially on the back end, a little bourbon and vanilla barrel but more coconut and some baking spices, a touch of cinnamon and other spices, nutty, loads of caramel and toffee, fudgey with more nougat as well, a little spicy hop and touch of bitter roasted malt, drier but sticky finish, bit of warming alcohol, lingering spicy hop, fudge, bourbon and barrel notes

Mouth is fuller bod, thick creamy a bit lush, nice creamy carb, a bit of warming booze mostly late

Overall a pretty nice beer, wish the bourbon was a bit more, but nice barrel notes and graham cracker notes surprisingly, although I doubt they will age well.
