Awesome lager that's smooth, crisp and so goddamn drinkable. Enjoyed a pour at the Hall then grabbed a four pack to go. Golden pour with remarkable clarity; a different mold from the cloudier Zwickels. Lively carbonation beneath a thick, soapy head that stays put for a minute then thins out to sporadic bubbles.

Doughy dough dough on the nose - bread, cracker, toasted grains, followed by a light spicy hop kiss and a grassy hug.

Just a great looking, tasting and feeling beer. Taste is toasted malt, bread, biscuit with lightly zesty but flavorful noble hops.

Smooth like porcelain, crisp like ice, Hungry Like The Wolf. Not really the latter but it's just a delicious beer. Go grab one before it goes away (for whatever reason - why not make it part of the family, JA?).

Poured from a growler filled at the brewery.

Pours a crystal clear bright gold color with a finger of foamy white head. The head sticks around for a while, leaving a few random spots of lacing before settling into a thin sheet. Extraordinarily effervescent, like soda pop. Different for the style, but a beautiful beer to look at in the glass.

The aroma is exceptionally bready and sweet up front. There are notes of grass and cereal grains with the faintest hint of spicy hops on the back end.

The taste follows the nose. Sweet, doughy bread and cereal grains followed by flaky biscuit notes and a spicy, noble hop finish. Nicely balanced and very clean.

The feel is medium-light bodied with lively carbonation. Very clean and smooth, yet crisp and dry and extremely refreshing.

Overall, a fantastic take on a German lager that is beautifully clean and easy drinking yet popping with delicious, malty flavor. This one is well worth seeking out.

Pale gold color. Clear. Brief head, settles to rim bubbles and nearly no lace.

The nose is like a fresh brewery mash. Lightly sweet from recently crushed pale barley malt. Low hop, true to the style.

This beer reminds me of the beer available in Munich, maybe a touch sweeter. If would stand up nicely in a flight of the style. Full bodied (for a Helles) but with ample carbonation. Nice lingering raw pale malt aftertaste.
