Blood Orange Wheat has all the laid back goodness of the original wheat lager, but it’s infused with blood orange for that extra special goodness. Subtly spicy, a little fruity, something to lean back on your bar stool and enjoy!

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a lightly hazed red tinted orange color with a tiny fuzzy head. The head fades immediately leaving almost no lacing.
Smell - The aroma is strong of wheat bread and orange mixed with a bit of lemon and toast. Along with these aromas comes some light clove and coriander spice as well as a bit of hay.
Taste - The taste follows the nose rather well, with a wheat and orange taste mixed with a light caramel and spice taste. As the taste advances the blood orange flavor grows lighter, when the wheat gets stronger. A bit of herb and hay join at the end, leaving one with a wheat and moderatly citrusy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - Medium in thickness with a low carbonation. Would have like it to be thinner and more carbonated to make it more refreshing and crisp.
Overall - OK, but nothing that great.

Poured from a 12oz can into a wheat glass. Color is a hazy yellow/light orange with a thin, white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is citrusy with a strong orange zest, but does not come close to having a wheat beer aroma. Taste seems to follow the aroma, little to no wheat beer flavor with a strong orange zest. Very mild carbonation on the mouthfeel.
Not the best I've had from Jack's Abby, but definitely not horrible. Would be a good Summer beer to have after cutting the grass before hitting the pool.

From the bottom of the can: "12 14:06 CANNED 02/08/22"
Appearance: The body of the beer is hazy and pink with just a touch of a copper hue. It looks a lot like pink lemonade. The head is short and fluffy with a rocky surface of shallow boulders and craters. It has good head retention and it leaves some sparse cobwebs on the side of the glass.
Aroma: There doesn't seem to be any real aroma on this beer. Almost burying the nose in the beer gives off a very slight twang of raspberry, but even then it doesn't come through very often.
Taste: Up front there is this watered down raspberry and cream flavor. Toward the middle of the palate there is a touch of cream of wheat. A bit of watered down vanilla in the aftertaste. While drinking the beer, every now and then there was this nondescript tartness that would show up on the back of the palate. There isn't much flavor in this beer.
Mouthfeel: It has a light body with a pleasantly refreshing finish. There is a light bit of tartness that appears from time to time to spice things up a bit.
Overall: The name of the beer is "Blood Orange Wheat" and the side of the can says "MALT BEVERAGE BREWED WITH NATURAL FLAVOR AND NATURAL FLAVOR ADDED." There is some wheat flavor that shows up in the flavor department, but it never really becomes obvious that the beer is made with blood oranges. The beer does look very pretty in a glass so that is very nice. It is also refreshing which is good. I probably wouldn't buy it again given the very light presence of flavor and the nearly absent aroma. If it were in a cooler full of beers at a picnic it would probably be one of the last ones I'd grab. I don't recommend it.
