Style: American Pale Lager

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.70%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
This lager harmoniously combines lager yeast fermentation and west coast IPA hops. Our India style Pale Lager is like a traditional IPA but with a twist - it’s fermented cold and aged for extended periods. A blend of classic American hops creates a huge tropical fruit and citrusy hop aroma. A dry finish accentuates the pleasant bitterness and hop profile. Hoponius Union uses locally grown dehulled spelt from MA.

L-Pours golden with a modest 1cm white head. Lacing is spotty but lasting.
S-A large citrus presence let you know the beer is well hopped.
T- The beer is smooth. The citrus hop flavor lasts throughout the brew. Not complex, but delicious.
F-The beer has a medium mouthfeel with light carbonation. The beer coats the tongue and the flavor lingers. This is a very good thing.
O-This is the kind of beer that says "hops are amazing". It doesn't try to get tricky. It takes one thing and trys to showcase it with greatness. I will be revisiting this beer many times in the future.

Very nicely balanced. Doesn't taste like a beer with relatively high ABV. Low carbonation. Really fine and unique beer.

A: Golden in color with a nice amount of head. The head is a nice off white color that rises nicely once poured.

S: The smell is great on this one. It is very tropical, has a good amount of fruit aroma with a slight floral smell in the background. The fruit aspect is a sweet citrus, almost like a mandarin, that finishes with a slight lychee smell at the end. Overall the smell is the strongest aspect of this beer.

T: Taste starts with a citrus flavor that goes into a cracker like malt then finishes with a bitter hop bite. Overall it is balanced nicely.

M: It is a medium bodied lager.

O: It was a great experience drinking this beer. The smell of this beer is really tropical and lends itself to the taste as well.
