BEER INFO

Brewed by:

Style: American Pale Lager

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.50%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Deep golden in color, this low ABV lager balances Pilsner and Munich malt with an aromatic American hop aroma. This beer starts hoppy but finishes unexpectedly malty with very low bitterness. Impressively flavorful and drinkable for the lightest beer we brew. We dub this beer a "Session Lager," as we once again brew a lager in a beer style of its own. Uses local Soft Red Winter Wheat from Four Star Farms.

On Tap. Pours deep golden with white head. Aroma is of bready malt and citrusy hops. Body is medium and crisp. Citrusy, piney hops and bready malt fill the mouth. Finish is long and bitter. Nice, easy drinking lager.

A very smooth and easy drinking lager. Nothing overly showy, but very well made. Easy to drink and very nice.

On tap at Worthy Kitchen in Woodstock, VT.
A= Straw colored, slight haze, thick white head.
S= Dough, toast, bread, yeast, faint English hops.
T= Toasty malts, dough, and yeast. Bit of bitterness to balance the rich malts.
M= More body that would expect from a low ABV session lager, not in a bad way, moderate carbonation.
O= Tastes as described. Nice use of pilsner and munich malt with added hoppy pleasure. Great low ABV choice when you still want to feel like your drinking beer.

Appearance: Pours a hazy goldenstraw color with a fluffy head that leaves a few streaks of lace

Smell: Grainy, biscuity aromatics with just a hint of hop

Taste: Bready, at the outset, with a slight bitterness from the hops arriving in the middle; the hop presence fades into the finish with the malts taking over where they started

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Nice for what it is, but I prefer Hoponius Union if I am looking for a beer like this
