Brown color but light passes through easily. Appears to be clear. Moderate head but it leaves a couple of streaks for lace.
The coffee smell is strong and dominating. The Porter aromas are also present but one needs to look for them.
The flavor starts with a dark chocolate note. The swallow brings out the full effect of the coffee. Nice body which is accentuated by the lower than typical (for Jack's Abby) carbonation. The aftertaste is a pleasant combination of the aforementioned coffee and notable hop bitterness.

The beer hits of cold brewed coffee for days, light on the sweetness, complimented by medium roasted malt, a soft nitro mouthfeel onto a lingering roast bitterness.
The coffee addition helps to cover up the smokey elements in the beer as the nitro compliments the coffee flavors wonderfully.
