12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a puffy layer. It is a copper color with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Light citrus malts, toasted malts, grains, bready, and a little caramel.

Taste: Pretty much what you smell is what you taste. Straightforward and simple. Some bitterness in the rear too.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, and some bitterness.

Overall: Nice amber lager. Simple malts and hops that round things out.

Bottle from Julio's. Bottled 24 Oct.

Pouring a dark amber with a dense off white head that leaves sheets of lacing, this looks great. The nose is loaded with hop bitterness and flavor with pine, candied orange peel, mint, pine sap. Quite spicy. Bread like Munich malt character is present with toffee and burnt sugar. The palate opens mildly bitter with burnt sugar, toasted malt and spicy and fruity hops. Pine, pine sap, mint, green grass, candied oranges, a mild chalky bitterness, mildly gritty. The mid palate has flavors of toast and burnt sugar. Medium in body with moderate carbonation, this beer has a long finish with a blend of the Munich malt base and the hop melange. Not wholly harmonious, but still quite enjoyable.

Pours a deep auburn, similar to medium amber maple syrup, with a foamy white head that dissipated fairly quickly leaving plenty of lacing behind. The head settles at the surface and retains a surface presence for a good long time.

Smells quite beautiful, a mesh of citrus/grapefruit and pine and apple.

A light sweetness yields a pungent hop profile. But after that the hops overpower anything else this beer may have to offer in the background, and leaves a lasting bitterness.

Light to medium bodied, light carbonation, smooth and easy going down.

Too hoppy for my tongue, but only just. Teeters on the edge of being enjoyable before eventually falling the wrong way.
