Taster at brewery. Dark brown pour, tiny ring of head. Sweet aroma, doesn't fit, light roast, cola. Sweetness kind of ruins the taste too. Cola, woody, mouth coating.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is dark brown, head is light tan with fine bubbles, head presents 1/2 inch thick bu then dissipates quickly to nothing.
Smell is sweet malt and chocolate, some roasted malt, earthy hops.
Taste is similar - sweeter malt and chocolate, limited roast, earthy hops - it seems sweet but thin, not quite robust in flavor.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate sweetness, low bitterness.
Overall a decent porter but the mouthfeel and presence seems on the thinner side.

Kind of sad to see very little reviews of this especially since it's now canned. Picked it up at the Giant Eagle in waterworks. Didn't get the pour but the taste and smell was nice notes of chocolate, roast with a good dry cocoa finish. Appreciate a good semi dry porter and the ABV was a nice level as well. Recommended!

Had at a nice taphouse in downtown Pittsburgh. Poured with very little lacing. Taste is balanced and good, not great. Touch of oats or something song those lines adds smoothness. Could use a little more malt to support the touch of roast bitterness. This is an above average American porter.

They're now bottling this. Poured from the bottle. Nice and black!!! Head dissipated in a couple minutes, but was a pretty brown. Smells of coffee and some chocolate. The taste is out of this world!!!! Roasty, with chocolate and coffee. Mild on the hops. Just a fabulous flavor! It's a toss up between this one and Atwater's Vanilla Java as to which is my all time favorite Porter. This one will knock your socks off if you're a Porter fan. It's THAT good!!
