A nice wine store that sells craft beer. They had some hard to find ones still in stock. The guy behind the counter was very helpful. They sell singles from packs which is a plus.

I went to the store on 9/27/12 for the first time and the man that was there was helpful and knowledgeable. I purchased 12 different IPA's and double IPA's with their build a 6 pack deal. They discount each bottle by 10% when you build a six. I really like the ability to build a six and this is the only place I have found other than Kroger or Publix that do this. They claim to have 100 craft beers. I didnt count but they do have a very nice selection and it fills up the center section of their store. The only gripe I have is that the prices were a bit high. I understand they probably do not move a ton of product through there but the prices could be lower. 2 six packs cost me $38.65 granted most of the beers I bought are some that cost $12+ for either a 4 or 6 pack at other stores. In my honest opinion the price per bottle could be about $0.50-$1 lower per bottle or more in some cases. Im still very satisified with the selection and variety. The only reason I gave them a 4.0 on selection is that I wish i could see more Terrapin or Sweetwater specialty brews in there but its out of their control. I actually talked to the guy about that and he explained why he does not carry them. Overall its a great place and I have recommended it to many people.

Do not be deceived by the name of this establishment. While the beer is not a main attraction of this wine store, it certainly stands out in a city thirsty for better beer selection.

They offer a great variety of beer, and you can make your own 6 pack fom any 6-pack or 4-pack, which is a great way to try different beer. For the size of this store, they carry a wonderful selection of beer.

The manager is knowledgable about beer, and can put you on some good beer, if you tell him what style you like.

If you are in Macon and need some quality beer, check this place out. It is easy to get to off I-475 and Zebulon Road in north Macon.

Wine Styles is new to the craft beer scene, but is one of the few places in this area to delve into it. Selection was quite good for the area and included selections from Founders, Dogfish Head, Weyerbacher, Ayinger, Westmalle among a number of others not readily available in the Middle Georgia area. While not expansive by any means, it saves us a drive to Atlanta and that alone is cause for celebration. Beer drinkers in Macon now have a store willing to provide hard-to-find selections for this area.
The atmosphere is good and the beers take up a small portion of the store as wine is their focus. However, of the five customers on a Friday afternoon, four of us were there for beer. They have received a warm welcome from craft beer drinkers here. Cheers!
