Can from Bridge Liquors in Newport. Canned on 16 Nov 2017.
Jet black with a large dark brown head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks excellent. The nose is rich and roasty with bitter dark chocolate, cacao nibs, strong black coffee with a hint of chicory and a mild dried cherry note. The palate opens with a delicious roasted malt flavor - lightly sweetened dark chocolate, bitter and roasty with a clean fruity undercurrent. There's coffee, dark and bitter, with a touch of cream. Medium-full in body with moderate carbonation, this beer finishes long, bitter, roasty and quite nice. Recommended.

Pours a three finger tan head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Black color, no highlights. Good carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Roasted chocolate nose and taste is bittersweet chocolate. High ABV (9%) is hidden. Good but there are better imp stouts like Wicked Weed El Paraiso. $4.10 for a 12oz can from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Beautiful black brew with chocolate color foam. The head dissipates fairly quickly. Smell consists of some faint coffee and espresso. Taste full bodied and luscious. This is the strong point of this beer. Feel is a tad bit dry with some bitter dark chocolate.
Overall, a sublime brew that I would seek out again.
Purchased from Kittery Maine Craft Beer store.

Draft. Sample pour. Poured quite dark. Body looks reasonably viscous. Aroma is straightforward. Chocolate, roast, coffee, booze, fudge. Flavor is equally as direct. Fudgy and syrupy chocolate. Roasted malt. Some java. A slight sting of alcohol. Just a bit of burnt malt. Slight velvety feel. Creamy but the body isn't super viscous. This will get it done but don't expect anything you haven't experienced before.
