Reviewing this beer from notes, had over the summer. Smell rich, yeasty, with a bit of citrus mingled in. Appearance cloudy dark gold. Taste the yeast comes through here again and adds a nice mouthfeel as well. Nice depth next sip reveals a little of the citrus that appeared on the nose as well as what would be called earthiness if i was reviewing a wine, but essentially a really nice malty quality punctuated at the end with a nice spiciness from the use of the rye. Overall a really well done beer and one I'm looking forward to trying again as i write this review.

Draught @ Noho Brewfest: This one poured a cloudy, golden color. There was a small white head that leaves some lacing. It has a nice nose. Some spices, earthiness, yeast, citrus and wheat. The taste is also very good. Wheat, spiciness, citrus, some sweetness and dryness. A nice saison.

On-tap 7/30/13 at Pour Farm Tavern in New Bedford, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a thin off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains spices, wheat, caramelized malts, Belgian yeast and some fruit.

T: The taste starts out with sweet flavors of spice, caramel and bananas. Then some breadiness comes in from Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. The hops presence is mild complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a solid Saison to drink for a long time.
