Located off the I25 frontage road road between the jefferson and montano exits. The brewery offers several year round and seasonals. All the beers are solid but personal favorites include the chocolate stout and the imperial cream ale.

If you like southern food, then this is the best place in ABQ for it. In fact I have been here several times for lunch and have just ordered food. There is no bad food, but my personal favorite is the fried chicken and waffles. Beware that the fried chicken takes a god 20 minutes to make. Ask for a "BLUSH" dessert waffle which is not on the menu and includes a waffle, scoop of vanilla ice cream and thier scotch ale caramel sauce.

Service is the weak spot. Twice now I have been at a table and not had any service for a good 20 minutes.

Atmosphere is good with lots of tvs and outdoor seating which unfortunatly overlooks the parking lot.

Cool little place well hidden next to the highway. Short bar to the left of the entrance seats about 10 with tables about the room and on the patio. About a dozen beers on tap, I had thier IPA which was ok. I very much enjoyed the catfish and collards. Friendly, personable bartender.

To me, this a great restaurant that comes with the added bonus of house-brewed beer. The vibe is cool and hip, cautiously flirting with pretentiousness without getting too close. The beer is quite good, but the food is the real standout. Chicken and waffles are their calling card, but there are plenty of good New Mexican dishes and New Mexican takes on classic American recipes. Hard to go wrong with Nexus.

i had a good experience here. i think the atmosphere is a little less than fully awesome, its sort of tucked back off the highway and not real easy to get to, and then inside its sort of divided, a dining room area and the bar, which has weird lighting and sort of awkward views into the kitchen rather than through to the brewhouse or anything, i dont know, it wasnt unwelcoming or anything, but it didnt really resonate with at all, which is sort of how i feel about their beers. they have quite a few on tap, several of which sound rather conservative, but the three i had were all decent. the house ipa, a seasonal ipa, and my favorite, the honey chamomile wheat. none would have what anyone would call polarizing or extreme flavors, but they are balanced and drinkable across the board. the highlight here for me was the food, which provided me with a ton of southwestern flavor and huge portions. the fish tacos were money and the green chili pretty good too. service was also excellent here, prompt, friendly, and attentive, although not outwardly beer people. worth a visit, definitely for the food!

I visited the restaurant/brewery for dinner on a Thursday night. All tables and bar stools were full at about 7:00 when I arrived. I had to wait approximatley 15-20 minutes for a table but it was not bad.

There were about 10 beers on the tap list, but at least one was out (a pity, because it was the Imperial Cream Ale, which sounded interesting). I tried their self-proclaimed flagship beer, a 7.0% ABV Scottich Ale, which was very good. Unfortunately it was served ice cold, which to me seems like a huge faux pas for the style. It did not really start to shine until it warmed up considerably. I also had a 10.2% ABV English Barley Wine that was ecellent and was served in a nice snifter.

The staff was friendly and efficient and knowledgeable of the beer and food menus. The food menu was not extensive, but the food was tasty and hearty. According to a display on the wall, Guy Fieri of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" has visited to try their chicken and waffles.

Overall, this was a good place for food and a beer or two. I would have rated them higher if not for the unforgiveably cold temperature they served their Scottish Ale. That seemed especially surprising because their brewers obviously have skill in making authentic English and Scottish styles. Why not serve them at a more authentic, complimentary temperature?

Nexus doesn't have the star power of other breweries in Albuquerque, and really, on beer alone, they can't quite compete. The beer here is not bad, there is almost always a good beer or two on tap, but there's rarely a great beer here.

Some more memorable stand out beers are the Imperial Cream Ale, the Chocolate Porter, Beam Me Up Scottish and the newer Honey Chamomile Wheat Ale.

Where Nexus gains some ground is with the food, which for one thing offers some of the only soul food in Albuquerque, but also has some real gems. There's mac and cheese, chicken and waffles and other southern comfort, but also New Mexican gems like calabacitas and frito pies.

The service is always pleasant, quick and attentive and Nexus's staff are very accommodating about bringing samples of beers.

Nexus ultimately stands out for its uniqueness. It's a good food and brews combo place.
