A great American Blonde Ale - definitely an underrated offering from one of the best breweries in MN.

you have to love a brewery who tries to make something simple and easy drinking for the masses amidst a bunch of heady recipes but it still ends up being kind of dank and awesome despite their best efforts to make it approachable. thats what we have here, a hazy blonde beer with a hundred right jabs of character. hops are grassy and old world, but also sort of citric, its also one of the yeastier beers dubbed "blonde" i have seen in public, and i respect the heck out of it for that. maybe a pinch of white crystalline sugar, but its light still too, its not a distraction from the original purpose i dont think. it helps that carbonation is boosty and happening, and it also is cool that there is some body here, none of the generic blonde ale wash here. havent had enough beer from steel toe, but the few i have had really lean in the aggressive and confident direction, and i like that. in a crowded beer market like the twin cities, a basic and dumbed down blonde ale isnt going to cut it, and these guys seem well aware of that. sessionable but interesting. great work

Straw golden, a little hazy. Smell is mills bready malts, taste is touch of lemon hops, no bitterness, a little dry. A bit thin and watery

It's a blonde ale...a good one. Great session beer. Not too bitter and malty enough. I can't say it's "slightly sweet malt" as they describe, but I am glad. Will definitely look to drink this beer again.

Big billowing white head, light tinge of haziness, purely pale body. Interesting nose of toasted malt, breadiness and yeast, some herbal and peppery characters. Body is light, crisp almost bright acidic like finish. Crisp and refreshing beer!

Yellow, with a good head and lots of wet lacing.

Smell is yeast and floral, with a hint of spice. Nothing really stand out in terms of taste, but it's good. Innocuous.

Mouthfeel is clean but a little watery.

Not a standard, but true to the style.

L: Pours hazy straw from a 22 oz. bomber into a 19 oz Spiegelau IPA glass crowned by a clingy 2” off-white foam collar that recedes to a thick film. S: Citrusy fresh laundry, floral and earthy hops T: A little white bread backed by a moderate hop bitterness. F: Light but creamy, medium high carbonation O: Nothing too overpowering, well balanced, refreshing and drinkable.

A nice balance and has some malt body to it.
