L: dark maple color. Nice long lasting 1 inch head
S: malty up front with a tropical fruity back
T: earthy, rooty, flavors of black tea with some light fruit flavors on the back end
F: medium mouth feel
O: a beer that I got more a of a black tea vibe from. I wasn't a fan but, then again, this isn't my preferred style of beer

Can to becher pint glass.
The appearance was a pretty nice looking burnt amber/dark orange color with a small flimsy head, somewhat white but some bubbles, mild lace.
The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts with some citrusy bittersweet hops. Seemed mix fairly well.
The flavor started off mildly sweet rolling on into some grassy to citrusy hoppy bitterness. Mild aftertaste of caramel smooth malts.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a mellow sessionability. Good carbonation and plenty of smoothness. Finishes with some toffee crisp to wafery malts and balanced bitterness from the citrusy hops.
Overall, good enough amber/red ale I'd have again.

12oz can served in a large snifter. I don't see a date. Given to me by @mr-jj.
Pours a very dark brownish red with a medium to small head. It's a little bit hazy but I have to shine a light on it to see it. Smell is moderately toffee/nutty and moderately piney hops.
Taste is more mild amber/red with a hoppier profile. Bitter finish builds as I sip it. Almost a little burnt roast flavor.
Mouthfeel is thickish, It's a good beer.

12 oz. Can
Pours a pretty nice amber color, nice carbonation, with a pretty nice one-finger off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with some citrus. The taste is hoppy, malty, citrusy. Medium body. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Pours from the can a nearly opaque dark red with ruby highlights and a tan dense and creamy head that leaves sheets of lace.
The aroma is citrus, pine, caramel and a hint of rye.
Tasty with pine and citrus up front, a bit of rye and a snap of pepper with some piney resin att he finish that hangs around, encouraging the next sip.
Mouthfeel is medium and smooth.
I thought it was excellent.

Big time red hues glow in the glass, topped with a creamy, frothy light tan-white head. I'm expecting some fantastic lacing here, soapy and sticky. Nose is strong, I can smell it even 10 inches from the glass. Lots of hoppy fruits; crisp sour apples, strawberries, pineapple, a bit of spicy rye present, too. Taste is hopped-up, but not overwhelming. The nutty malts take over just as the hop oils begin to bite, relaxing the flavor and smoothing it out. Really nice interplay between the ingredients. Finish is smooth, nutty and malty with just a twang of hop bite. Rye is very subdued here, barely noticeable. Rich tastes with lots going on. A very tasty beer, without a doubt. Just this side of medium-bodied. Might make more than one a bit heavy, but it heartiness would pair well with food.
Halfway through the glass, the rye begins to become more noticeable. Adds a spicy, grainy character. Interesting choice for a fruity-hopped ale, but it works pretty well. Pretty, pretty, pretty...pretty good.
